What a Way to Go
Freeacre

The Murphinator and I kicked back the other evening and watched the new documentary, “What a Way to Go.” It pretty much sums up the many ways the world as we know it is about to end, with input from the most astute writers and thinkers that we are familiar with on the internet.

It presents The Biggies: Peak Oil, Climate Change, Mass Extinction, Population Overshoot. Commentary by Daniel Quinn (“Ishmael” and “The Story of B” Must reads), Derrick Jensen (“The Culture of Make Believe”), Richard Heinberg “Powerdown”), Jerry Mander, Richard Manning, even Ran Prier. Tim Bennett wrote it and Sally Erickson produced it. Together, they have put together a cogent and sensitive portrayal of the situation that we find ourselves in with very few punches pulled. Taboos are violated. It suggests a radical fix – returning to a stepped up version of Hunting and Gathering to restore the balance of life on earth. Hunting and gathering…. Tell that to a Beltway pundit. No wonder you will never see this stuff on T.V.

My one criticism is that I wish the narration hadn’t been done so similarly to Michael Moore’s style of casual understatement. When I am told that five out of six of us are most probably going to die a lot sooner than we think, I want some affect going on. I want passion, anger, outrage - name-calling, head-banging, cursing, spit flying, and dire threats to those responsible – not just grief and angst. Maybe it’s just me.

When I think of trying to show this film to my central Oregon neighbors, I cringe. These are good people with usable skills. They are ones who can fix things and will lend you a hand, have parts on hand, and feed your animals for you if you are laid up. But, I’ve got a feeling they would view this movie with the utmost skepticism. Not because they don’t believe that the world is all fucked up, but because of the emotional disconnect, for them, with which the message is delivered. Much like their reaction to Al Gore, my neighbors, I think, would point and laugh.

Despite that, it is worth purchasing. Google “What a Way to Go.” I’m going to use it to remind me of what the hell I am doing all this for, when I’m up to my eyeballs in corn on the cob, boiling pears for jelly, and blanching and freezing mountains of kale. I’m from Napa and Tahoe. I used to get hot stone massages, reflexology foot rubs. I had manicured nails. I was in the newspaper business. I’ve got a Salesperson of the Quarter certificate on my wall.

Murph has three degrees. He walked into the college office in Tahoe and took the test to see if he could tutor math classes after an absence of five years from doing anything with mathematics. After the test, they told him he could tutor any math class they had. Now he’s digging holes to bury garbage cans in which to store potatoes and squash. He just finished hauling, splitting and stacking ten cords of firewood. That’s a lot of damn wood. Before that, he re-furbished the chicken coup and installed a wood stove in the garage so he can re-load ammo in the winter – and he’s 67 years old.

Are we nuts?

Well, maybe. Or maybe we are just sick to death of this somnambulistic, sick-assed, out of whack, death and cancer culture we live in. Maybe we’re mightily sorry that we’ve been a part of destroying the ecosystems of so many animals and fish and forests. Maybe we’re gearing up for the firestorm of anger, panic, theft, and viciousness that will come with hunger, homelessness, and disease as the money collapses and the wars come home. Maybe we are conscientious objectors to this war on the world.

I know what we are preparing for, but I’m not sure who we are preparing for anymore. I have a feeling that we might not be the ones to break into the stored food supplies. Maybe it will be our son. Maybe it will be someone else. It doesn’t seem to matter much anymore.

There is nothing wrong with being good boy scouts. At least you have an outside to feel useful in, no matter who it is for. At least for now it is yours. I wish I had an outside to do what you are doing, it sure beats Hoovering the mat.

What you do...you do for all who aren't able to. You live by example. It is not...all for not. It stands for something. It is living rightous. It is living with nature the best you can. It makes a statement. It paints a picture. It ripples out. Stay strong. You are perfectly beautiful in what you are and what you think. I guess we die a little every day now but we also must live a little as we go over the falls into the twilight zone.

lolo..."Hoovering the mat." I love the phrase.
Thanks, for the kind words, Mrs.p and Belgium. I was just getting tired, I guess.
Murph finished burying the can, then built a lean-to on top of it out of logs and some plywood to protect it from snow this winter. Made a perfect cabana for the chickens, who promptly installed themselves under it and began asking us to bring them drinks with little umbrellas in them.
This projection of an "event" coming up next weekend, is disturbing. Here's a link:

If that doesn't work, just go to Online Journal or the Wayne Madsen site. Might be San Francisco on Labor Day. I know they have shown the "Middle Eastern-looking" duo on our Portland, OR. news. Could be Seattle, too. I don't think the IMF has forgiven Seattle for their righteous demonstrations against the IMF. It might be nothing but fear-mongering, and it might be huge. We just don't know.
One thing is certain. If either the Bay Area or the Seattle area gets hit somehow, Oregon is going to be looking like a port in the storm to a lot of people. Guess we'll just stay tuned...

Hey all,
I'm back in town and re-connected. (Unforntuately I have thought a couple of times over the past couple of days as I try to get re-acclimated.) I disagree soundly with the premise that hunting and gathering is the only or the best way to live lightly on the planet. I think that it can probably be one of the worst ways, next to our current way of life.

I went out of the country for the retreat this year, up into the Great White North. I had a good time and came back refreshed but damn near froze to death every night. This Southern girl isn't used to a place that gets that cold in August.

If I needed any more proof of what our country has become, I got it at the border crossing. We crossed by land both ways on the bus. Going in was easy. The Canadians were real friendly. There were cops around, but nothing overwhelming. More of the "don't try anything...we're here" variety. They asked a few questions: destination, length of stay, purpose, anything to delcare? Then it was having a nice day, eh?

Coming back was a nightmare. It was full dark out, and the U.S. side was lit up like Fortress America. The bus waited for our turn, then a cop stepped up and said "Welcome to the United States -now get off and form a straight line." No, I'm not frigging kidding. There were so many cops there it looked like a drug raid. Or a combat zone. They pulled us off the bus, lined us up, and made us wait. And wait. Then they pulled all the luggage off the bus, lined it up, and brought out the drug dogs. And went around the luggage about half a dozen times. (No, it doesn't take that many times to find drugs wtf?)
After they'd checked the bus, they started taking us in for processing. There were signs saying "Department of Homeland Security" everywhere and signs about being monitored and recorded. There was a white line at the door between the waiting room and the processing room and a cop there whose sole job seemed to be to yell at anyone whose big toe touched that white line before they were called. And she did.

Foreigners were being treated like shit. They were fingerprinting people, and it also looked like they taking blood samples of some. (I could be wrong, but that's what it looked like.) When I got called and they found out I was a U.S. citizen they became nic(er) to me. There were all kinds of intimidating questions: why were you in Canada? what were you doing there? where were you born? what do you do? It was awful.

When they finally stamped my tickets and let me through, the people inspecting luggage called me back with a "You -do you have any more bags?" (I had my carry on's with me.) When I said yes, she said "Bring them in." So I drug them in, and the only thing that kept them from inspecting my luggage was that they were too damn lazy and I had huge bags due to the camping equipment. But they had to try and intimidate me as well. Do you have any fruit? (No, a**hole.) What, nothing to eat on the bus? (I've got some trail mix here in my carry on, ya want it?)

Anyway, that was my wretched experience with the border crossing. Grrr.

WHO AM I ?

How did I come to be walking through this wondrous Dream I call Life you ask ?

Dream the Dream of the Earth. Dream of her and her dance and all her beauty Wakantonka created her, and with all the goodness of that love, She Created You. Soon these thoughts will be all that saves you from the vastness of the endless void that is coming.

The old Dream is passing, and a new dream is Emerging. In this new dream what you hold dear, what you declare, what lives in your heart will be what you experience. What you think will be, as all things come into balance of the oneness of my creations, will be.

In this creation the two legged plays the simplest of roles. That of the Grateful Child for who all this was made manifest... Born from the love of the Father for the Mothers dream, and the children she made manifest to demonstrate that love was possible by these helpless creatures we call humans. This is the simple truth, yet there is no other truth. The truth as you get older, your heart remembers, and your mind forgets.

Geez, I had heard that it was getting bad coming back into the U.S. but had not heard first hand how bad it was. Maybe they figure that if you go out of the country, your better off not coming back and they want to reinforce that. Get rid of the dissadents that way. Well at least you have the assurance that the bad terrorists would be intimidated by the border and stay out, our tax dollars at work.

Ras, glad you made it back ok,man if they hassled you that bad i imagine a former Federal Prison Inmate convected of the heinous crime of growing Marijuana without permission would without a doubt get a cavity search without any grease. My have a pound or two up there you know.
But you know back in the days when we were running drugs across the border from Mexico they really did the deed even then and that was in 69,70,71 and coming across at El Paso!!!!! Were we stupid or what??
The spirit was really riding shotgun with us in them days where a joint could get you years in Texas, all at the stoney lonesome, (sorry about that Stoney).

Good post Freeacre, we are prepared as much as possible i guess. Its just so weird that so many people have not a fucking clue that the days of frolicking at the local WALLY WORLD are coming to an end.

Its rumored that the Hopi's are digging little Kivas, stocking them with whatever and covering them with layers of hand made bricks.
An adopted brother passed that info on to me yesterday, and i guess if thats true it might mean that they know something that we only are guessing at.Anyone got more on that?
i have been on their res a few times in my life and really had a time of driving for many miles in the desert and seeing one Hogan in the middle of absolutely no where, and nothing else except for some sheep, and always how in the hell can a person live like that. Now i know that the inner experience does not depend upon a location outside the body, and the connection with the great spirit resides within the heart.
Freeacre, nice write,
theres a lot of us doing what you and the nator are doing,i mean pretty much all of it, i thought Murph was a lot younger then that, 10 cords!!fuck,he be the man i can tell you that,i'm his age and have started using my chain saw again after the hips replacements but would be hard pressed to reel in ten cords before the snow flies.
But you know a man with something to do and carries the good heart can do just about any goddam thing he takes a notion to , don't ever give up on us ole codgers, i look at many of these youngies whom without a doubt will not make it, not because they aren't young and strong but because the artificial bubble they are raised in when popped will snap them out.
Course they will ask us what to do,and of course we will tell them,...heads and bodies, heads and bodies.

Mr RUSSO,our brother,if the stars are aligned right,, and they are, yours will be among the brightest of the bright.
To open the eyes of the blind,,pretty sure you pissed off a goodly number of reptilians and their focus on destroying the earth mother.

We honor you this day Aaron, which ever path you find yourself on,please look in on us once in a while and see what ant nest we have managed to bring rile to.
Peace and good hunting, and may the warm wind blow gently on your back as you make your way home to our spirit world,

Lady Freeacre, don't know why you chose to include me in your opening paragraph but thanks,.((-: haha.))

Like you and more then likely most of the habitators of this place of ground breaking issue extenders, the climate of our dispositions rove way and beyond the normal scene of daily activity, and sometimes spill over into that which use to be known as grungedious.

ok am off to join some friends to wake for my excellent brother Richie,it will be a drunken freeforall i can tell you that straight up front, will let you know what happened when that many collected ones erupt if we all don't go to jail.

From Belgium,

Ras,
I visited your lovely country in the early 70”s, before you were even a twinkle in your fathers eye, as the saying goes. I flew into LA and even then passport control was so obnoxious I nearly grabbed by bags and got on the same plane back. It was much the same thing as you have described, little people with a badge balling people out for placing a toe over a line that was about ten yards back. Now it seems they have that dual national Chertoff to give them an even bigger stick.

All
I started to read Ziopedia’s take on Michael Chertoff to see who he really was and what skelitons were rattling in his cupboard.

http://www.ziopedia.org/en/articles/neocons%10neolibs/michael_chertoff%3a_the_man_%26_his_star-crossed_past/

Then I selected Next page because I thought the article continued but it was a new piece, which started off with a look over Roves shoulder. It then quickly got to the real evil entity Cheney and the non-actions of the dysfunctional Democrats in dealing with him; a piece originally penned by Scott Ritter for Truthdig.
“These Democrats, on the other hand, have mastered the art of compromise to the point that they stand for nothing at all” – all good stuff. I am however going to spill the beans on the ending.
“If there is any case for impeachment to be made against any member of the Bush administration today, it can be made against a vice president who has shamed our nation, destroyed our moral standing and broken our laws.”
Clearly if Mr Ritter is unaware that Dennis Kucinich has filed a bill in Congress seconded by six other Senators calling for just that then it is clear that the majority of the nation is also unaware – why?

Here today, gone tomorrow;

Freeacre,

Read your piece late last night and looked up the link you provided. I guess we'll have to wait 'n see if next weekend turns out to be another pivotal "event."

While in the onlinejournal site I stumbled on a special report by Michel Chossudvsky entitled "Bush executive order: Criminalizing the antiwar movement, dated July 23, 2007.

Here is the link address:
onlinejournal.com/artman/publish
printer_2219.shtml

First sentence- "The Executive Order entitled "Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq" provides the President with the authority to confiscate the assets of whoever opposes the US led war."

(And me, with a four-foot diameter , lighted peace sign attached to the side of my Countrywide-mortgaged home!)

Also, on another subject, equally as chilling, the reality about the DU poison we've been spreading, by a woman named Leuren Moret. Here's a link to some of her info. Google her for more. Important stuff.

Ras,

Sorry to hear about your troubling experience. Not surprised, though.
Time to make ourselves small, keep eyes open, mouths shut, powder dry. They ARE getting ready to pull the pin on us. Our first job is to survive, to fight another day. At least we know it's coming. Most will be disoriented and befuddled, as they attempt to make sense of tanks on Main Street.

Btw, can anyone explain what Hillary was supposed to have said re a false-flag? I missed the quote and the context.

So, too, we trod this trail

we wrap ourselves around and kiss,
accepting what it is that comes

re what hilary said was explained ver batem by i think anon from belgium? in the previous post section. I first saw it on CNN but haven't looked at that for several days...hard to watch anymore, it's so fake and misleading and everytime i turn it on anymore it's a commercial anyway. It seems to have disapeared as fast as it came out. It got quelled but not before it got some response from others. There must be a reason. Odd how things come and go so quickly. So many distractions in the media from what's really going on. mrsp

BTW, I'm thinking of the advice given in here and thinking of removing my blog or wiping it clean again. I guess I'm getting paranoid. Feel like i should give up my inquisitive and investigative nature and just sit back and watch. Hardly no one visits the blog anyway. It just seems like everything we're told in little leaks here and there are just the tip of the iceberg and things are much much worse than we know. I'm getting really down about it all. Feel like I'm in east berlin. This is so ugly. How can people stand it? There's so much lawlessness right here in our cities, the so called terrorists seem the least of it. I have to wonder if many of them "over there" aren't on the payroll just to keep the machinery going. Fear seems our worst enemy yet i am fearful and so this will make me put the blog into another mode. I maybe weak for this but not sure what else to do. mrsp

okay I'm sorry, it was freeacre who quoted Hilary's what if:

freeacre said:
Oh, I finally found what Hillary said: "But if certain things happen between now and the election, particularly with respect to terrorism, that will automatically give the Republicans an advantage again, no matter how badly they have mishandled it, no matter how much more dangerous they have made the world," she said. "So I think I'm the best of the Democrats to deal with that, as well."

Crude and self-serving, I'd say.

I agree with freeacre, it's obvious what she was doing for herself...but then someone else I think a Dem came out in support of her, saying that we'd be "Back in Bushland" if there was a false flag event. Her statement started a flurry of comments from both sides which I thought seemed uncanny since we're approaching 911, labor day, etc.
mrsp (now the p stands for paranoid)

Two things; firstly did the Dem who replied to Big Hills, actually use the term ‘false flag’. If so and it wasn’t challenged this could be an admission that the presidential hopefuls at least are aware that the 9/11 commission was a fraud.

Secondly, wrt the chatter story, with a west coast event predicted for this coming weekend which is said to be coming off somewhere between Seattle and The SF Bay area. I really don’t want to be alarmist but it occurred to me that SD is also included in this broad ‘west coast’ definition. Are you aware of anything big either already in that area or about to arrive in the next few days that could be used as target practice? I don’t want to concern you unduly, I am just trying to get a feel for what may be included or excluded especially with the broad ferry / naval connection.

Here's part of it:

Clinton: Republicans benefit from terror
CONCORD, N.H., Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., said a terror attack on the United States would be advantageous to the Republican party.

Speaking at a campaign house party in Concord, N.H., Clinton made the remark and added she was the best candidate to deal with such an attack, CNN reported.

"It's a horrible prospect to ask yourself, 'What if? What if?'" Clinton said. "But, if certain things happen between now and the election, particularly with respect to terrorism, that will automatically give the Republicans an advantage again, no matter how badly they have mishandled it, no matter how much more dangerous they have made the world."

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, who is also a Democratic presidential candidate, issued a statement saying politics shouldn't be linked to terror threats, and Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., also competing for the Democratic nomination, issued a statement saying Clinton's remark was "tasteless."

The supportive "false flag" statement from a Dem or could have been CNN blog input, I'm positive I heard said, (on CNN) I will try to find it. mrsp

Received today from Carolyn Baker:

McKinney, Sheehan, Tarpley Warn Of New Cheney 911
The Kennebunkport Warning / 8-26-7

To the American people, and to peace loving individuals everywhere:

Massive evidence has come to our attention which shows that the backers, controllers, and allies of Vice President Dick Cheney are determined to orchestrate and manufacture a new 9/11 terror incident, and/or a new Gulf of Tonkin war provocation over the coming weeks and months. Such events would be used by the Bush administration as a pretext for launching an aggressive war against Iran, quite possibly with nuclear weapons, and for imposing a regime of martial law here in the United States. We call on the House of Representatives to proceed immediately to the impeachment of Cheney, as an urgent measure for avoiding a wider and more catastrophic war. Once impeachment has begun, it will be easier for loyal and patriotic military officers to refuse illegal orders coming from the Cheney faction. We solemnly warn the people of the world that any terrorist attack with weapons of mass destruction taking place inside the United States or elsewhere in the immediate future must be considered the prima facie responsibility of the Cheney faction. We urge responsible political leaders everywhere to begin at once to inoculate the public opinion of their countries against such a threatened false flag terror operation.

Why COG; why underground; if they know something why are they sitting back and letting it happen. What do they know that we don’t.

From "Crimes & Corruption of the New World Order" a blogger.com blog, which was also sent by C. Baker. I don't know for certain if these folks have bonifide info but C. Baker is usually pretty careful about what she sends out. Here's part of what they're saying.

**** !!! URGENT !!! ****

FEDERAL RESERVE BOARD OF GOVERNORS MEETING TO TAKE PLACE AT "C.O.G." FACILITY IN JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING ON AUGUST 31!

C.O.G. STANDS FOR "CONTINUITY OF GOVERNMENT" AND IS A SUPER-HIGH-SECURITY, UNDERGROUND MILITARY INSTALLATION DESIGNED AS A SANCTUARY FOR GOVERNMENT
IF THE U.S. IS HIT WITH NUKES OR SUFFERS OTHER CATASTROPHIC DISASTER

Why would the Fed Board of Governors decide to meet in such a place unless they KNOW something terribly huge is going to happen to the United States next month? This information on top of the stories below are unmistakable signals to us that something terrible is going to happen and the big shots already know it.

Please spread the information on this web page along to every American so as many as possible know in advance that any "disaster" or "terrorist attack" or "economic collapse" was no suprise to our government. They clearly know something is going to happen and they are apparently going to let it happen.

Here's the link (below) that was sent to me from C. Baker re the huge market put options for another 911. Carolyn Baker has her own site at www.carolynbaker.net but here's the thing anon from Belgium is talking about:

http://mparent7777-2.blogspot.com/2007/08/45b-bet-on-another-911-within-4-weeks.html

Carolyn's Comment: I honestly don't know what to make of this. I've seen this rumor floating around for several days. Is it the time of year--the six-year anniversary of 9/11--is it something in our cells that remembers that this is the season in which it happened? Is the news regarding these put options authentic? Darth Vader (Cheney) lurks and slithers around and behind the dark corners of our collective psyche. Progressives falsely celebrate the resignations of Rove and Gonzales as some sort of proof that the empire is crumbling. A massive propaganda feat has just been accomplished with the appearance of Tenet "falling on his sword" regarding 9/11. I do not expect this administration to relinquish power--ever, and in order for them to maintain it, they will need something calamitous. I will certainly keep my ear to the ground and keep you informed of what I know, when I know it.

A little embarassing, I cannot find anything searching CNN, the senators statements, etc. re comment on false flag event. I remembering being a bit shocked at those two words coming over the air on cnn, i was walking through the room, should have froze in my tracks...it's all a lot of blah, blah to me and I do not know who said it. It was Wolf Blitzer talking, reading off comments in response to miss Hil's remark. Someone sort of agreeing with her which is odd because everything i found was not agreeing with her tactics. It must have been from the CNN political ticker blog thing. But they DID say "false flag" and the person they were quoting said, yes, we would be back in BUSHLAND if there was a FF event. I thought he was quoting a man, another politician. Sorry I don't have more.

As for San Diego area there is a lot of military here all the time anyway with Camp Pendleton and the Miramar Air base. This corridor is the most heavily traveled air traffic corridor in the U.S. And we must be in the flight path, they fly over constantly. I haven't heard anything on the news. mrsp

GOOD NEWS!! (maybe)

Gonzo just joined KKKarl, and Tony Snow in the water surounding Bush's slowly sinking ship of fools.

Either the rats are in a damned big hurry to bail on Bush, or he's up on the fantail, throwing them overboard, in the vain hope the sharks will be sated when he joins them in the "Big Briney"!

I don't know why he's sweating it! After all sharks don't eat shit, but I guess Bush is making sure!

Then again it just might have something to do with Sister Carolyn's head's up on the anti-anti-war snatch and grab "Executive Order" scenario. With over 70% of Americans against the war in Iraq, Karl don't want to be attached to it, Tony don't want to talk about it, and Gonzo don't want to enact it!

To tell you the truth, I don't think even Bush would be stupid enough to try something this misguided, but you can never be sure about this idiot! It would never fly before the Supreme Court who has been more than a little antogonistic toward's Bush's attempts at Kingship!

If he does try to pull shit like this, maybee it will get the American public out in the street with farming tools to plow a furrow through his ass!

There's one sure way to get a fight out of an American! Try to take our money, or our guns, and you'll see the fecal material make forcefull contact with the air ciculation device, damned quick!!!

Freeacre,

Great post! Quit working Murph so fucking hard! Ten cords of wood? SHIT!!! Three did us all winter last year!

And tell those "Lounge Lizard" chickens to get the hell out of the shade and go eat bugs! Fuck the tropical beverages! Oregon ain't in the tropics!

Or better yet, send a few my way! Booster could use the company! He's been depressed lately. The young raccoons, (aka The Dalton Gang), in a brilliantly executed guerilla manouver, scored all his tail-feathers in swift order!

Now he just hangs out under the trees and mopes! Can't blame him though! He looks like a transvestite hen!

Austin (and anyone else who doesn't have our e-mail address), feel free to contact either me or Murph at sunrise3@coinet.com. Might be a good time to exchange phone numbers and/or addresses in case the blogs go down.

Oh, dear, Belgium. I think I just spent the money Murph and I could have used to come to your place on getting my book published. Great timing, eh? The investment, no doubt, will become the tipping point that the economy was waiting for to totally tank...
It's a nice book, though. The print guys who just put 500 of them into my car, said they loved it... said it was the best book they have ever seen from an independent source, so that made me feel pretty good. So, if TSHTF, at least I'll die published. It anyone wants to see it, go to www.troutpeople.com. It is a collection of writings from a previous life, practically, when I was an outdoors columnist at the Tahoe Daily Tribune, entitled "A Troutperson's Guide to Tahoe." It's not in the Google search engine yet, so just go straight to it from whatever you are running, like Firefox. Should take you there. Please forgive me for the shameless plug. First book, you know...
BACK TO THE FUTURE -I swear to God, I can hardly get my mind around the shit that is happening now. It's like an HBO disaster movie, with the FED bankers going to a Jackson Hole bunker and the Kennebunkport manifesto declared by well-known activists, natural disasters all over the place, the stock market about to collapse, peak oil and climate change starting to be acknowledged by the lamestream media, the aircraft carriers poised to attack Iran, etc. etc. Christ, I picked the wrong damn time to quit smoking!

Stoney,
Maybe Booster and our rooster, Lyle, could get together and commiserate. Lyle used to be Diana Ross until he turned into a rooster. We named him Lyle because he is pretty ugly compared to our former Otis. Poor Lyle - totally hen pecked by the older girls who will have nothing to do with him. He is trying to crow and hasn't quite figured it out yet. Sounds pathetic. Can't figure out what to do with the Supremes other than try to peck them on the head.
Keep us apprised of Booster's situation. I love these chicken tales.

When you recognize that this society is not worth living in, you do something different. It may not even be to increase your chance for survival, maybe just a protest.

Ammo up in case you presented with the opportunity to blow someone away who is trying to squish you. Grow stuff to eat so you don't have to eat toxic food. Make do with less so you aren't like the shopaholics at Vole-Mart. Fingers in the dirt each day to give the spirits a way in.

We don't have to know why we do this, we just heed the voice that says this is the way to go.

Stoney,
Please keep your eyes and ears open and report any unusual naval traffic in your area. The Truth Seeker's Green Zone Follies blog outlined the plan to bring entire units back from the Green Zone before martial law can be implemented here in this country.

Oh, by the way, anyone flying to Jackson Hole, WY usually flies into West Yellowstone, MT and then has to travel by car to Jackson Hole...

And why would the government build an underground "safe spot" so close to the Yellowstone Caldera?

I completely relate to this feeling of knowing you need to do something yet constantly questioning if you're crazy to do it. With everything around you going on business-as-usual, it's hard to know who is the one in touch with reality. I struggle with that a lot, as I wrote about at The Challenges of Accepting Civilization as Unsustainable and Unhealthy. You're far from the only ones seeking alternatives as you know.

Well maybe it does need them to pay off the FED. In that case this is what it needs the drug dollars for.

We all thought that Bubba was the head honcho bad guy, maybe so but not entirely true. Most countries have difficulties with their economic migrants but the Japanese who live by a code of honour, we are told, are kicking the ass of their Korean comers in. I should have treated this article with more reverence but instead the irony made me smile.

Belgium,

I read the article about Japan and it's oppression of the Korean immigrants. Kind of curious as what is it you think should be done different and why. It is true that what little I know of Japanese history indicates that they are not particularly friendly to immigrants and never have been. Remember Adm Perry.

I found it interesting that there was no statement in the article about what justification was being put out by the government to initiate the crackdown and to continue it. Don't governments like to make statements (true or false) as to why they are doing something?

Here is an interesting short history on immigration into Japan.
http://www.migrationinformation.org/
Profiles/display.cfm?ID=487

It reads somewhat similar to the situation between Mexico and immigrants into the U.S.

From Belgium,

Murph,

Read three pages of Google references and couldn’t find Adm Perry’s story you referred to.

People describe situations as complex when they haven’t got a clue where the answer lies. I must admit that I fired off that comment before I had fully thought it through and this piece is essentially working my thoughts out. We have kicked economic migration around from time to time and I don’t really want to go there again but for the sake of clarity I had better dip my foot in the water one more time. There is a sound principle I sometimes work by in such situations and that is when in doubt, grab hold of the essentials and dump the side issues for the time being.

The point I was making was not essentially about economic migration as such but about the government, which are the people by proxy, treating others, established within their community badly because they are suddenly perceived to be different without any sound underlying reason for doing so. As you point out, the Japanese government is not providing any visible motives for their actions. Guantanimo Bay and Abu Ghraib are well known throughout the world but this is not a new situation for the USA. After Pearl Harbour, an event the USA was aware would happen but did nothing to prevent, US nationals of Japanese descent were imprisoned in internment camps for reasons which now amount to no more than pompous show.

Other nations (I picked on the Japanese / Korean situation because I had just read the article) are kicking around their less fortunates, and so on down the scale; I could have picked Chile or many countries in middle America or Africa to make the same point. It would appear that antagonism towards those perceived to be outside the group is a basic human trait and it is this aspect which I wanted to examine.
Sometimes those in authority separate themselves from the population, in which case it is the indigenous people or at least the people whose country it is who are the but of the maltreatment.

Two wildlife programmes come to mind, one concerns chimps and the other wolves. In each case the number two dominant male challenged the tribal boss for the harem and in each case the old dog had more life in him than was thought, with the result that the challenger was chased out of the tribe. Each was sedated, electronically tagged and followed. They tried with great difficulty over several months to establish themselves with other groups but were either chased away or regarded with great suspicion. A lone pack animal finds it very difficult to cope.

So is this the way it goes? Is this the essential nature of animal behaviour?

From my point of view, suppose one day someone walks into your little village when the men are out hunting. He goes up to the elder and says “I can see that you don’t have anyone to grind the corn and make the bread, I am good at that. If you allow me to stay here I will make all the bread you need. All I ask is permission to pitch my tent and have a share in the meat, now what do you say”? I think I would say “Lets give it a try and see how it goes”.

Apart from scale, I don’t see any difference in principle between running a household; running a business or running a country. When I had a manufacturing business many years ago, I would sometimes take on temp workers to help with short term big orders but there was not enough meat on the beasts bones to keep half employed people hanging around afterwards. If however, someone looked useful and could earn a little more than they were costing, I would let them stay.

It is the same with economic migrants. If there is a job to be done and no one to do it, let them come and let them stay. The problem is that often people would prefer to pocket a welfare check than walk after the garbage cart or work on a sewage farm and then it is ok for immigrants to do immigrants work and I can understand this. At least it is ok until Flint Michigan and the like happens and then immigrants are suddenly the bad ones for doing what they have always done, what no body else wanted.

Having said that, complexity does creep in. You may have heard me say before that Netherlands (it used to be called Holland) our neighbour to the north, is now a predominantly Muslim country. The trams and busses, the bars and buildings shops and stations all look the same as they always did but the country is a little Middle East in Europe. The people who have always lived there now feel like visitors in their own country. This to a large extent is self-inflicted and could have been stopped earlier if they had the wish to do so. In the UK there were three riots in the 70’s / 80’s Birmingham; Liverpool Toxteth and Bristol St Pauls then later a smaller one in Oldham. This was caused by black descendants of immigrants who now saw themselves as knowing no other country other than the one they were born in, being thrown out of work during an economic recession. They retreated to the ghettos and bread discontent as the saying goes before taking the streets.

The question now remains, am I a moral soft touch or am I at odds with nature?

Belgium,
You are probably both.
I, too, am confused about immigration. One the one hand, I'd like to think we are all humans and part of one big, diverse family, and in the words of Rodney King, "Can't we all just get along?"
And then, when I think of the transition of Holland from the land of blue-eyed blonds, tulips, and wooden shoes to scarf-wearing Muslims turning to Mecca and praying 5 times a day, I am appalled. I don't think, if the Dutch were taking over Oman, they would like it either...
I felt the same way when in Miami and it felt like South America, or in Arizona where the State Police were eating their donuts, but speaking Spanish to each other as their first language. Or, when I read that the Mexican gangs have decided on a program of ethnic cleansing and are wiping out the blacks in L.A.
There are two main issues that get confused - the cultural and the economic. Culturally, how do we assimilate or appreciate the differences in culture and what kind of balance to create.
Economically, it's what are they here for? To help out with an aspect of work that the country needs extra laborers for (like picking tomatoes)? Or, it is a systematic plan to break the backs of organized labor, bring down the wages of the working class, eventually reduce the compensation of all the workers (engineers, health care, you name it)? Or, just to get warm bodies in here that reproduce so our population can continue to grow and they can pay our social security - to hell with the long-term consequences.
It's a conundrum. And, the fact that Bush just "administratively" decided that beginning Monday (ironically, Labor Day)Mexican truck drivers can now motor into the USA at will, just takes the friggin' cake.

Belgium,

First, I got the rank wrong and it is probably what led you down a dead end to check out. It was Commodore Perry in 1850's and he took a war fleet to Japan and sort of forced them to open trade with the U.S.

I had not intended so stir the pot quite so energetically.

It is true that we have talked about immigration off and on. It is also true that I have been making no effort to keep up at all with immigration and problems around it in other countries. We've got enough controversy at home on the issue to keep me occupied I guess.

What I do suspect is that in most cases, if not all, immigration problems are caused by governments. We are back again to a couple of observations. Those that control populations in the form of governments are wealthy and elites. One of their prime goals is to maximize accumulation of wealth and that cannot be accomplished by spreading the wealth around all the way down to the garbage collector. Some jobs just have to be stratified in the extreme by social position and earning ability to justify and enforce privilege.

We are well familiar with all the arguments concerning why we should be economically stratified. Upon examination of the arguments for such, and excluding the Marxist rhetoric, what it comes down to is keeping your hands clean and not having to sweat as the real value used to evaluate this layering. We have all kinds of arguments but, when the elites start having crusts form on their asses because nobody is there to wipe them, suddenly the nanny is being unreasonable in her demands.

This has nothing to do with employers making use of part time or temp. employees, except when the employer uses that as an excuse to not hire full time nor to have to dole out some kind of supplementary pay, like insurance.
I don't know about Europe, but here in the U.S., that is quite common, Wal Mart being one of the most flagrant. Man, I remember a time when part time employees were paid a higher amount per hour than full time because they didn't have any benefits and they had to live too. Anyone else remember that?

In the case of the Mex immigrants into the U.S. and their taking jobs because the Americans won't do them doesn't hold water. I imagine that the time is soon coming when Americans will willingly put in a 16 hour day for their ration of a crust of bread and a spot on the floor to sleep along with 20 others. The elites have made a classic economic mistake. If you want a society to be productive, the populace has to be well enough off to buy what is made, which means the wealth has to be distributed a bit. To get around that, if you move all of the productive aspects of society out of the country, then you can make a service economy that has the prime function to service the elite, which is the direction the U.S. has been going in for some time now. Then you don't have to give a shit whether the population can buy your stuff, it's sold overseas anyway, where the manufacturing facilities are located now. That is how you force a slave economy on a population.

So yes, the population gets a bit testy about all this going on and their inability to convince the elite to pay them a livable wage when the elite purposely loot and create poverty in a neighboring country so their population is looking elsewhere for a way to put food on the table. Which is exactly what has happened with Mexico and parts of South America. I figure that China will sort of even things out a bit over time. They have been playing chess a whole bunch longer than we have.

I figure that we have a bunch of elites that have a "Star Wars" sickness. Grand visions of empire into perpetuity. They can't seem to understand it is a story, and stories are neat entertainment, maybe even a form of inspiration, but are not a form of literal truth. They seem to have the idea that populations will not rebel and will put up with anything forever if they just have enough power. My worst nightmares revolve around their being right.

Re: Planet of the Apes...seems like the economic migration thing has been going for decades. Here in California, (which actually belonged to mexico at one time), the elites have made many a family more or less slaves...if not for Ceasar Chavez organizing the farm workers they would not have the workers rights they do today which isn't much in my opinion. Like toilets in the fields. oh duh.(Many of them routinely sprayed with pesticides),..I'm not Latino but I understand their plight and I do remember when p/t workers got a higher wage due to no benefits. As for Malwort, they treat all of their employees bad, black, brown or white. California's agriculture would not be what it is today without the toil of the Latino families who've been here since dirt. The social thing of the gangs and violence is just a bunch of ignorance and ape like behavior that seems to permeate all societies worldwide. That thing where you can't stay in the tribe until you go out and kill your first lion. Seems to be a universal macho man thing, (includes all sexes of humankind). You have to prove your machismo, fight or flee. The impovrished peoples of the world ghetto seem to always be divided with and by something beyond their conception and they turn on each other or the next available thing. Be it drugs, violence, territorial slums, we're all victims of ignorance and hatred which I believe the elites have perpetuated by their dominance of the working class. As we scramble up the ladder we tend to kick off those beneathe us. Human nature, I don't know but divided and ununited we are but singular slaves to the master. Now the bushco will pit the mexican truckers against the already hurting U.S. truckers. The NAU is underway. We are all one and in for some hard lessons. There should be enough for everyone but there isn't and the elites aim to keep it that way I'm sure. To keep us divided, scrambling and toiling amounst ourselves. God help them if we ever get it together and turned against them.

Off subject but for a bit of reminisance on this Sunday I invite you to enjoy the pleasure of Mr. Steve Winwood. Live about 8:23. At this link or posted at the blog if this doesn't work. Love to all of you. mrsp

“I can see that you don’t have anyone to grind the corn and make the bread, I am good at that. If you allow me to stay here I will make all the bread you need."

it all starts seemingly so innocently doesn't it? put the native american ancestors together with the hollanders and have them compare notes. part of the problem is that form changes make it harder and harder to see. but peel the onion and we'll find its the same reflection. that time and the details are different shouldn't lead to conclusions that the issues are therefore not the same down at the core level. but it does. and then off we go on wild tangents.

that is the second mistake. the first mistake is in concluding that, because the mirror is reflecting a crack. it is, therefore, the mirror that is cracked.

from another layer of the cake "mistake" is not the word. the operative word is "lesson". we get to repeat the exercise until we learn the lessons we need to learn to truely evolve. but that comes with its own bag of circumstances one of which is, when the underlying issues are not gone down through, nothing changes except the intensity of the calling for the underlying issues to be gone down through. this is exactly how the dynamic of denial operates. iow, it gets a little more intense and complicated each time and this escalates moving further and further away from the balance point until such time as the whole thing is in grave danger of eating itself alive. which is EXACTLY where we are at this point in time.

fortunately the greater cosmic forces are seeking balance and are interveining. still, it may just be too late... even the greater cosmc forces have lessons to learn.

From Belgium,

Yes you are both right. Targeting the lowest common denominator instead of the highest common factor is an established technique. Look at what happened to those who wanted to raise the baseline, Lincoln, Garfield, Kennedy and I will throw in Huey Long for good measure.
Over here in Belgium there are almost as many political parties as people, or so it would seem. In Vlanderen (the north) particularly, there is a substantial Moroccan population who a few years ago were demanding the right to vote if they could prove a permanent address here. Normally this is something reserved for nationals. People here have seen what happened in Holland with the result that a very strong National Front party has developed and this manoeuvre was a thinly disguised attempt to thwart them in order to prevent being repatriated. It is ironic that people would look for cultural and economic salvation from a party of the far right. I can guess what would happen if Belgians started going to Morocco and demanding the vote. There are people here from all over black Africa so this ballyhoo about free movement of labour as a benefit for members of the EU, is something of a poor joke. It is largely about increasing the mix both economically and culturally and thereby diluting your own culture and economic expectations. Not that experiencing other cultures firsthand is a bad thing but again it comes down to limits and those who are charged with setting the limits suddenly find they have an urgent appointment with an insurance salesman.

Mrs P,

So it was in the 60’s in the UK. Union bosses and convenors were like mini mafiosi and stood fair and square in front of the multinationals. This could not be tolerated. They played their hand too strongly and when they had a genuine grievence they were always accused of holding the country to ransom. The public became tired of it and after the ‘winter of discontent’ and the miners strike and the knock on effect caused by flying pickets it was left to Thatcher to bring them to their knees.

Did I ever tell you about George Brown’s National Plan? He was the Home Secretary in the Wilson Governments of the 60’s. He attempted to do away with all this bickering and continual strikes and so he devised a National Plan. All jobs in the country would be graded and given a score, say from 1 – 100 and everybody would be on it. Surgeons and pilots woukd score highly because they held other peoples lives in their hands as would miners because of the inherent dangers in the job. Tomato pickers would score on the lower rungs of the scale. There would be a minimum wage from which the scale started and the whole thing would be cost of living index linked so nobody lost out over time. Sounds good huh? The elites didn’t need to sabotage this one the Union bosses torpedoed it for them because they suddenly saw themselves becoming redundant. And so the National Plan was confescated to the bollox bin of history.

I am amazed how astute the American people are seeing through the NAU whilst the EU which is essentially the same thing still has respectability with new hopeful nations queuing up to join.

To shift the argument in a different direction, what do you think of the concept of ‘multipolarism’? China we are told, owns America but it is not calling in its tab. Are they biding their time and feeding USA all the rope it needs or are they in on the game and multipolarism is just the next chapter in the ancient book?

You caught me out thin end of the wedging, a lot harder to do in the written form:-)

I must admit that this migration and antagonism question I find difficult to see 100% clearly through it or rather I can see parts of both sides. We should be ‘all able to get on’, at least take people as they are, balance the good and bad bits and make your own judgements. Yes they are there for their own benefit and not for yours but what prevents this rationality are unseen forces which casually throw peoples’ together into the cock fighting ring. It is hard to meet people half way when they have either been conditioned against you or to take advantage of you even if it is impersonal, for some unseen third party’s benefit.

Howard, nice to have you at this council fire, dropped over to your teepee for a sit and am glad to see more of what we have been saying for what seems like eons, at this point, on the subject of living through the inevitable absolute horror of that which some of us live in now,not some distant make believe.
Being a descendant of the trail of tears i have always failed to see the wonderful magic encompassed within the framework of so called civilization, from which the invaders ran from only to reincarnate it here in this strange and beautiful country.
If shitty rulers and their hideous mercenaries made life such a squaller at home why in the hell pray tell did they bring it here to just start all over again by initiating the very same behavior as the oppressors they left behind?
And now just look at what the invaders have done to this country, i have ranted about it many times as the folks that are regulars here can attest to.The fact that you could drink from the rivers that now you cannot even swim in much less eat the fish from. So when you talk about whats to come for the invaders, just go to Pine Ridge Reservation or one of the other useless plots of land that the god fearing christians allowed the Natives to try to make substance on.
It ain't coming, its come and still here!
Excuse me while i cry a little bit,....ok thats enough.
My story is old and so am i but it needs never to be forgotten, that humans got touched by evil and cling to it, and wear it like a fucking crown.Of course there are exceptions, this council is full of beautiful brothers and sisters that have chosen to live in harmony with our Mother Earth and to help one another, and on occasion try to open the eyes of those that might have a chance of seeing both the delight and the darkness that lies before them.
You sound like a person of good heart so you will find it easy to play with the folks that come here to share one another's findings
and also the personal troubles that we find our selfs bumping up against now and then.
So sit back, have a toke on the peace pipe if you choose and let us pow wow together.....i would send you pesos but i live on the scraps and bones of mother earth myself, and know several homeless people that would just like a new cardboard box.

SATS, I phoned Abe and he told me that he would get that shit straightened out right away.
Said he had some good weed and would send me some, never knew they imbibed the good herb over there but whats a samurai to do between head lops.?
Thanks for the turn on.

To all the rest of you most excellent folks of the Trout Clan, been gone up in smoke so to speak so it feels good to be home and know the tee pee has not blown away in the mean time.
The tomatoes are looking good and my friend is drying everything in sight and putting them in airtight containers, seems like a most excellent way of preserving food, it amazing at how much a cucumber will shrink! Along with everything else that gets dried.Plus aside from taking up little space it retains most of its goodness.
Am about to dicker for a giant greenhouse that is of steel construction and is all there except for the cover.Would fill most of the back yard and grow mucho mucho stuff.

It stormed and rained like hell all night a couple of nights ago and the contained remains of the chipper creek fire are pretty much no threat with fingers crossed.
This has definitely been the summer of the great fires for this area, the earth seeks its balance and will, in spite of the nasties best efforts to the contrary.

Hovering the mat? i will use that from now on when i catch myself explaining why i do such things.

First sentence- "The Executive Order entitled "Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq"

HOLY FUCK, do you think they might take my bus?
(They'al have to fix the brakes first. And by then Gonzales will be in private practice and be up for bus retrieval and do it for free just to reestablish his reputation as a good guy.
You know i have traveled rather extensively around Mexico and never ever met a sick fuck like him.He puts his whole tribe to shame.Sorry me amigos, you folks had a chance of really having something good happen with that kind of influence but the suck up just had to big of lips, and how they grew to include covering the whole ass of the weed called bush.
i say fuck the borders and all other mind games that the retards love to play, We are one.)
Naw, i doubt that, and besides that i would have to do to many ceremonies to just cleanse the vibes from it after being touched by the scum that likes to pull the wings off of flies.

Wolf spiders feed on grasshoppers
we provide between stones.
Thank you Rockpicker, wish you guys were a little closer also,am working still on my old blue pony but i might have to shoot it and ride one that does not require gas or a license plate,
We;ll see.
So little summer so little time to prepare,"winter of our discontent" is on its way and boy does it look like fun, get ready me amigos. The ride will be hairy.

Peace and Prosperity,

From Belgium,

Mf,

Many thanks for sorting out Abe the Shinto Samurai for me. I don’t know how I am going to make it up to you. Isn’t it surprising how quickly the Japanese dropped a 1300 year old religion after we upset them with a secular event. Kind of liked the idea of a religion that sought to find beauty in many small things. I doubt it will happen in Iran though.

I don’t know where hovering the mat came from. It just found its way onto the page when I was trying to describe this feeling of being caged up when I really wanted to go outside and do something useful. Anyway, feel free to use it.

Hey MF, the answer to this question
"If shitty rulers and their hideous mercenaries made life such a squaller at home why in the hell pray tell did they bring it here to just start all over again by initiating the very same behavior as the oppressors they left behind?"
is quite simple. Over here THEY got to be the oppressors. They didn't want to topple the system, just take it over.

lolo...Nice to hear from you again, Montana. Happy that the flames did not reach your home (or bus).
I am just having a happy little thought: how to bring down the house of cards and let the bankers and greedheads twist in the wind, for once. Instead of suffering and trying to hold down 2 or 3 jobs to meet those increasing house payments on those McMansions that people bought with no money down and an adjustable rate mortgage and now they aren't worth shit and they can't be re-financed.... just everybody run away from them. Don't feel bad, just go skipping out the door. After all, you have no equity in the place anyway. Let the banks hold the bag. If they all do this more or less at once, the homes will then be rented out by the banks. There will be so many of them, that there will be a glut, so the rents will go down. So, the renters are in better shape, but the smarty-pants tycoons will lose their ass, since they bundled the mortgages into deals that would make money off the backs of the wage slaves and put themselves in hock up to their eyeballs.hahahaha Serves them right. They took our jobs and outsourced them to Asia. They've drained the middle class and the working class of all their money. So, what comes around, goes around. Fuck 'em.
Not a real sophisticated stance, but satisfying, nonetheless.

Ras ,thanks for that,it makes sense, never thought of it that way,to clouded by the damage that occurred and to close to the subject to look with eyes of brother eagle.
Somehow i thought oppressed people were somehow better prepared to live a decent life if they could only get the opportunity and to change things if they ever could get the stick, but as you have pointed out to me, i now realize that is just so much bullshit.Humans are just a fucked up bunch of,,,well not all of us.
Why are we so few? What the fuck happened that turned a decent human being into a butchering motherfucker,or yet still was there ever such a thing as mercy,?on a large scale?
You know i have always wondered why the rise of technology happened so fast.
It just does not make sense to me after a zillion years of living at least in harmony with mother earth.Or was it just the fact that that people had no means of making a river sick, but would of been glad to do so if the opportunity had arisen? Is a meteor really on its way,?and are all of us as perishables if not refrigerated,?is our faith riding on the nose of a giant firecracker?
Of which would not be without the sacred benefit of industry? Makes no sense, which way the earth is destroyed does it? Destroy Gods Meteor Machine Solution,?and the ooze of humanity will continue up and till including the last possible breath of unbreathable air is sucked in, by something DNA wize and will have the lungs the size of an SUV.
It makes no sense also that a few of us upon discovering the fact that we are the ones doing it stop doing it. That means not only the outer mashing up of mother earth (shes such a bitch sometimes)but also the enter sacred nature of our own being, right?
I was standing in the shower the other day and it occurred to me that our bodies are one of the most remarkable creates, except for the fact that there is way to much vacuum ( Babylon says) ( A vacuum is a Volume of Space that is essentially empty of Matter,so that gaseous pressure is much less than standard atmospheric pressure.)between the ears at this point anyway, and that we treat them like outhouses(our bodies)much of the time.
The fixation on habitual responses and addictions and the sensory pleasure that we get from thinking we can do any thing about them that comes with the territory are so much more...just television it seems,.. that big Ophrah show that slithers around and around and never catches its tail. i live in a quagmire of yesterdays and tomorrows without end and the things of the face slowly fade into the world of never never land.
Are we really alive? the song says we are but the dream of the Dolphin, and we make nightmares of the them, and so it goes, they are delicious aren't they.
Wish i had their teeth.

The new sweat lodge is just so sweet, to heat and heal the body of SPIRITS choosing and forcing impurities to roam free to find a home of transformation and the purity they seek them selfs.
For is it not all the work of the mysterious one.?

i was dragged kicking and screaming into a Home Depot yesterday, by a friend of mine, however a place in which i found Nirvana waiting in isle 16,( there are machines there that will give you the location of the space ship we all came here in,some assembly required) but they will only take Master Card to acquire one and i have shitty credit. So disgruntled and unhappy my friend tried to solace me by treating me to a Whopper(we were in Missoula, which is smelling more and more like the insides of one of those creatures in Star Wars) i looked at the Whopper, it stared back at me,i through the filthy thing in the trash (which is anywhere in the shitty city) and pouted all the way home. Have you ever seen a grown man pout? not a pleasant sight i imagine.
However a couple of tokes and a dip in the Flathead river( Which eventually becomes the Clarkfork river, named after one of the first assholes that invaded these sacred mountains and it was a tossup whether the natives here would kill them or feed them,(as they looked like hell) well beings as they were lead by a woman of nativehood they were stupidly FEED.UGGGG} as of being of no consequence or to be feared by the tribe! What a colossal fuckup that was! No matter in the long run though, right?
Bet everyones tired of me whining about the fucking invaders huh? ok will grit my tooth and try to say something that has meaning, lololololo.

The hot scorched Montana terrain is cooling and damn does it feel good, heat is good when you are cold, heat sucks when you are hot already. And i'm hot. All the girls say so....And some of the boys.just kiddin

Four days ago an event took place that really sent me into a tail spin, my most best close spirit guide Langosta the beautiful
who now lives in the spirit world of dreams and has not been physically heard from in many many days.....there in the front yard stands and ancient maple tree, huge and sprawling, covering the entire yard, lush and green providing much appreciated shade in the hot afternoons.
Well, on that four day ago event the sole sound of a Cricket issued forth and i went into, how can i say this without sounding like an idiot,...can't, it sounded like a love song to me loud and melodious it sang,i walked out into the yard trying to locate it and the nearer i got to it the less i could hear of it in the direction i was walking but the more i could hear of it behind me!!..It did not matter which direction i walked in it ended up the same way, well i thought this is really strange. And upon listening down the street i could hear no other sound of crickets.
i finally came to a place from which i centered the sound from all directions and just stopped, closed my eyes and just listened. What occurred at that point is the most remarkable thing,i begin to sing with the cricket of which i could not find, i became a cricket and understood what had happened to them, they lost many members to the Robins which found them quite tasty, and many more to the poisons that the two leggeds sprayed all over their mother fucking lawns and drifted all over the village, but most of all the love that they sing throughout their adult lives has been trashed by the vibrational level of the planet. We sang together for i do not know how long, but in the course of it she told me many many things about the spirit world and how it has almost disappeared through the thoughtlessness and greed of the two leggeds. The she was of course Langosta the beautiful, rare, as the males are supposed to be the only ones that sing, but she sings form her heart not from her legs.
It is important to allow such things to happen she sang,we bring you all the good things that life has to offer and yet you kill us with your nightmares.

In the coming stepover we will hover just at the edge of your conscience and if you will just be silent for a few moments in the forest or on the shore and just quietly watch, the magic is always there, just there.
She stayed for three days and nights and could be heard from half a block away and was the only one i heard in the village after walking around it,in fact it was the only one for many many days you see.
Her physical essence is not required to be maintained and was only revealed to me to remind me just how important that such things
must never die for the sake of humanity. For humanity is lost, and has lost the only thing that really counts in this entire universe of which we are an infinitesimal part,it is the love,of our selfs, each other and of all of creation, the stars and moon and the sun of which springs all life here in this place of ..........

The beautiful pink and red sunrise slides into being standing on the deck in the back of the square teepee, and all is silent except for the cats down the alley busy raping each other, what a scream they make in the land of one hand clapping, someone said that, can't remember who.

Freeacre, when the damn broke inside i did that exact thing of which you speak, i left a house, job, all the stupid shit of what was suppose to be "the life" loaded up my ole bus and meandered on over to Montana leaving it all behind, just walked out, a house full of furniture, friends, family work, the police of having caught me spitting on their fucking sidewalk and wanted restitution, and god only knows what else and just left.
Some of the "family" think me nuts, others are thinking along the same lines,i can only hope it catches on before its too late.

SATS, never knew shit about Abe before i Googled the three letters and by gosh
there it was!!
Thanks, i will.With appreciation.

Peace to all of you, brothers and sisters each and every one, i love you.

Msrp,

And the REAL hoot is they took them to (wait for it) LOUISIANA!!

You'ld think that Lousiana had had enough destruction would't you? But NO! President Pork Pie decides to send them 6 thermo-nuclear devices to play with!

I guess there are just WAY too many Rethuglicans in North Dakota to leave them lying around there clutering up the landscaping!

Let's send 'em to Lousiana! Maybe they can make FEMA trailers out of them, since Bush gave all the REAL money to his fellow Rethuglicans in Mississippi!

That should be Bush's new message!: "Vote Republican, or be left to die!"

Maybe that's been Bush's message all the while!

Montanna Freeman,

Good to see the fire didn't get to you! I've been busy with the old van, who's wiring harness decided to give up the ghost in a heroic display of evil-smelling smoke! All done except for the taillights.

I had to make my own harness because nobody makes one, and the ones in the junk yards are all junk!

How's the Toyota coming? The little bastards are a pain in the ass when they fuck up, aren't they?

In Japan, the law says that engines must be replaced every thirty thousand miles. The old engines get shipped here to the states, and sold pretty cheap! Check the nearest big town, and you can find a source for them, or call 1-888-922-9800 for this joint called "A One Japanes Engines" that have shit-loads of them!

Unless you've already got the old engine rebuilt, and ready to go in, it might be a cheaper alternative!

They've got some little screamers for sale too! The ones that sound like a mad hornet in a mason jar, and run like a striped assed ape! Might be a good idea, if the fires come your way again!

From Belgium,

Mf,

Give the dark planet or the big meteor no credence at all, it is so much horse shit to get you looking at the stars instead of right in front of you. Why do we say such things, as if horse shit wasn’t really useful or something? I have done some digging and found out what balls are really in play and they sure ain’t pretty ones. I am going to try to find the time to put a post together but I haven’t finished the reading part yet. Just enough to realise that it is all pretty ugly. Then I need a day staring at a blank screen whilst it all reassembles itself somewhere in the cosmos before certain electrical connections tell my fingers what to do. You and Langosta and Ras’s raptor are dying breeds and as you say, why do spirits that are so good on the inside not just get on? I guess its because the more complicated the machine becomes the easier it is for the circuits to get tangled up. Anyway, Friday has definite possibilities but I am in a ‘fuck it’ frame of mind so Saturday and Sunday are for the family and four mornings next week are right out for a different reason but I will get through it as quickly as I can.

Btw, watched Shallow Hal again last night. A real hoot with a heavy moral message, synchronicity or what?

Bbtw, Couldn’t work out if it was the dolphins teeth or Oprah’s you coveted, lolo.

Greetings, Brothers & Sisters,
This is freeacre touching base with you because I just brought Murph to the airport early this morning so he can visit his mother and sister in Texas (mom had a stroke). Now it's just me and the dog and the chickens, so I will train my ears on the sounds from the natural world and listen to what shows up to be with me.
Wish the Murphman luck, because he got presented with a paper from airport security that says that his name is on a "Watch List" of suspected terrorists. If he thinks that his name should not be on the list, he's supposed to give them more ID or something. So, since he has to change planes twice to get where he is going, I am staying close to the phone in case he calls and tells me he is stranded somewhere. Can you believe this shit? WTF is a Watch List? It's not the No Fly List, apparently, since he did get on the plane. Is this just to intimidate us into shutting up about Iraq and localization and preparing for the End Days of the empire? Or, do they really have the wrong guy? I feel like I'm living in the old East Germany!
Something tells me this is going to be the last airline trip for the Murphinator. We are just going to live a post-collapse lifestyle because it is simply more enjoyable to shun these twisted, evil ones and hang with our friends and the planet.
By the way, I think the FED just dumped another $31 billion into the stock exchange today to prop it up while gold is spiking.
Looks like it's going to be a good year for homemade Christmas presents...

From Belgium,

The Murphinator is inside a video game, which is in a parallel existence.

I really do wish his mom well, there are various degrees of these things and they are not always so bad as the first shock news suggests. Circuits often reform to get around the problem bit, it just takes a bit of time and TLC.

I think I am supposed to tell him not to drink the water. I have never personally experienced it but I’ve heard of people that have.

Update: Murph made it to Texas. Yes, the water there is bad. In fact, last time he went there and drank some, he was hospitalized.

stoney13,

I'm an ex-SAC man who used to be in charge of nukes and I can tell you that a half dozen nukes "accidentally" getting loaded onto an Air Force, not Army
(CNN sucks) B-52 cannot, I type again, CANNOT "accidentally" be loaded into anything without a butt-load of procedures, checks and security. No freak'in way! I think Barksdale AFB is the lauching point for stuff going over to the Vietraq.

So, the question is.... are these fuckers that crazy, and if so, when do ya think they're gonna bomb Iran?

Dude,

Who broke the news about the nukes being loaded and flown to La.?
The Navy News, that's who. So, why would the Navy News break a story like that? Isn't that the kind of thing the military would want to keep to themselves?

in my view rp is right... we wouldn't have heard about this if they didn't want us to. but why in this particular form designed to make them look like a bunch of fools who just tipped their hand that they're setting up nuclear deployemet? hell, there's plenty of that already in place in the middle east to blow it off the face of the earth isn't there?

this posturing appears to be pointed locally and not abroad except perhaps for the putin and/or chavez factor. is it more... hey joe, hey gladys, you really do have cause to be skert or is there more to it? are they tellin chavez... guess what, when we pull the trigger on your buddy amabomba over there we're comin after you too??

Is is just me, or is there something really bat-shit weird about the Bin Laden tape? He mentions evil corporations, high taxes, the US government over-extending themselves, a progressive book about the war, and then suggests that Americans turn to Islam! So, now the neocons can say that anyone who is anti-corporate war profiteering or anti-war is a Bin Laden stooge. Also, that the Evil Ones will come and try to make us Muslims. Would Bin Laden suddenly have a thicker beard and dye it black? Why is much of the video one still picture? Why did the military leak that their "sophisticated methods" of voice ID already figured that it is him, even though it came out early. In the past, hasn't it taken longer to verify? Hummm...
Combined with the nuke thing, once again, my Weird-Shit-O-Meter is pegged. Where'd I put that Pepto-Bismol?
Duck & Cover

Yes it's obvious this was intentional. Maybe it was suppose be multi-purpose? If the top A.F. brass really didn't know about this, we're in serious danger of just shooting ourselves in the foot. Remember a lot of these people are very young, right out of high school. My intuition tells me this was intentional and it got leaked by an insider or? Does the top brass want anyone to know what's coming? Could it have been a way to move the warheads quickly without the usual protocol and create the appearance of a mistake? A faster way to accomplish something by making it into an ooops? Iran would be the most likely target. These couldn't be for practice could they? Not long ago, (last year), Ex-U.S. weapons inspector, Scott Ridder said, after returning from Iran, that Cheney was determined to invade Iran and that it had already unofficially begun. He said we were at war with Iran already, but on the sly. He also said that Iran was no real threat because their Supreme Leader forbids nukes and he has the final say not the Prez of Iran who was just a back country figure-head mouthing off and had no real power. The supreme leader of Iran has the last word on everything. He said that we "had people" there now on the ground, unofficially. I believe Scott Ridder. I think he knows what he's talking about. I think he also said U.S. would invade Iran by spring of o7 which didn't happen or at least not anything we know about.

freeacre...your meter is right on.
It was talked about it Crossing the Rubicon by Ruppert, that binLauden was and is a CIA operative. He was working with and for them serveral times. Kosovo was mentioned also. He also stated that he had inside info from CIA i believe that binLauden had been living in West Africa, ironically in the capitol called "Freetown" for several years after 911. I was not surprised when I read this info as I've always thought he was on the payroll. It's sort of obvious to me but I've always had a rangy imagination. It seems like a charade that begs the question...as Mike Ruppert would say...who benefits?

Murph,

We can't wait to hear what you have to say.

On the Thursday, Sept. 6th edition of Democracy Now, Amy Goodman interviewed a member of Students Against War. He found out that the TALON data base had targeted members of his organization, including them on a list of"credible threats", along with other peace activists and war protestors.

Pentagon officials announced plans to scrap that particular data base.

Wheew! That's good to know!

My guess is we're all on a list.

I'm up to chapter 14 in Rubicon. He's talking about the put options that were placed on companies just before 9/11. Much larger scale activity than I thought.

Mrs. P, would you care to comment about the PROMIS software Ruppert describes, and do you have anymore new information about that, and the ECHELON program, as well?

Ruppert details how the feds had the technology to target and share every cell phone conversation in the world before and after the attacks.

Sorry. Gotta go cut up a hot pepper.

RP: I don't have any info on the PROMIS software...except that I remember in Crossing it was said that the DOD had it and the Israeli government was also mentioned I believe...and also a few other governments are suppose to have it, I think Canada. It gets mentioned later on in the book and the people / corporations that created it. I'm sure with all the high tech we now have, every word is stored somewhere. Every email, every phone call, probably for years prior to 911, has been filtered, monitored, documented, recorded, etc. Creepy isn't it. Echelon, (around since 1988?) activites worldwide are primarily run by the US National Security Agency but there's so many agencies within agencies sometimes they don't know what their own people are doing. The U S denies it's existance or course, it would negate their 911 claims. I guess they can get into any computer anywhere, especially all cell phone calls, control other computers etc. They could probably send other countries missles with that software. The sky's the limit. Maybe it will be nazi computers that ruin us all. mrsp

At 2:09 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

A good reminder of the NSA's ability prior 911 is the film, "Enemy of the State" wilth Will Smith and Gene Hackman.

Also, I've never heard or read much about PROMIS or anything related except for in Rubicon. You might try google to see what comes up. I thought I read something in Rubicon about people checking on PROMIS getting waxed or maybe just threatened, I'll have to go back to the book and see. Anyway be careful. It's all so creepy. Hard to believe we're living in this nightmare of spying spooks where you can be admonished for just taling about being admonished or disagreeing with the vile actions of a corrupt government run by fundamental diviots. I cook to take my mind off it all. mrsp
