A "Guest" Contribution----Cyclone on Booshspeak

On Monday,August 21, 2006, the Booshman held a press conference, something that he is now seemingly fond of doing. This, after abhorring such events for the last 5 years. Of course, this is nothing more than a last gasp effort to plead for the life of the GOP in the lead up to the November election. A clemency or pardon, if you will. Can it work? I don’t know, but this will be the final answer to the lingering question about the ability of the American populace to separate fact from fiction. Let’s break down what the fearless leader had to say, shall we?

“If we ever give up the desire to help people who want to live in a free society, we will have lost our soul as a nation.”

As I recall, few Iraqi citizens were calling for the United States military to destroy their homeland and infrastructure, create a haven for terrorists and plunge their country into an all out civil war. This was a plan created by the neocons to take control over a sovereign nation; a nation that just happened to have vast amounts of a product that the US desperately needs, oil. While there is no question that Saddam Hussein was a brutal tyrant, few Iraqi’s today would tell you that things were not better before the invasion than they are at present. Despite what “good news” the administration wants to report coming out of Iraq, there is no safe place for the average Iraqi citizen to be, including inside their un-air conditioned, candle lit residence. And about the oil? It’s not flowing. Remember the plan to have Iraqi oil pay for this debacle? Hasn’t quite worked out that way, but Boosh will tell you that is because the big bad terrorists continue to create havoc along the pipelines. My question is simple. What did you expect? Oh, I remember now, roses and a parade.

“Those who heralded the decision not to give law enforcement the tools necessary to protect the American people just simply don’t see the world the way we do. They see maybe these kind of isolated incidents. These aren’t isolated incidents; they’re tied together. There is a global war going on.”

(This is, of course, regarding the recent court decision stating that Boosh has been breaking the law by spying on American citizens without court authorization)

Just who are the “we” that Boosh refers to? They are; Boosh, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and a select few others within the administration, along with assorted right wing neocon Nazi types. Thankfully, the vast majority of legal scholars, judges and thinking Americans see the world as it should be seen. Seen as a world where a wildcat US President cannot circumvent the law in a phony made up “war on terror.” (Whether the “new” Supreme Court has gone completely off the deep end and reverses this decision remains to be seen, but my fear of just that is on Red Alert status) What Boosh fails to understand is that the “global war” that is going on is solely of his making. While we haven’t been the world’s favorite for quite some time, never in the history of this Republic have we been hated as we are now. I don’t know what the birth rate in Middle Eastern countries is, but you can rest assured that one in three children born in a Muslim country each and every day will someday grow up to be an anti-American jihadist. They will grow up more than willing to blow themselves up in a café in Boston, killing anyone and everyone that they can. Without secure borders, that will soon be a stark reality. That, my friends, is the “legacy” that George W. Boosh will leave behind. The President who finally encouraged the ENTIRE WORLD to hate America, and brought frequent terrorist attacks to our homeland.

“A failed Iraq in the heart of the Middle East will provide safe haven for terrorists and extremists. It will embolden those who are trying to thwart the ambitions of reformers.”

Provide a safe haven for terrorists and extremists? Uh, George, it already has. I know it’s been a long war, but can anyone recall Iraq prior to our self serving invasion? THERE WERE NO TERRORISTS, unless you wish to call Saddam Hussein and his henchmen terrorists. Even so, they were no threat to America. Nor were they a threat to anyone who Boosh claims as an ally, including Israel. That is certainly not the case today. As I stated when I began this blog, all this war would do is give the terrorists a new country to work out of and create countless numbers of new terrorists. Terrorists more than willing to give their lives for the cause. We’ve proven that we can’t secure the border between Mexico or Canada and the United States. Does anyone really believe that we can secure the borders between Iraq and Pakistan or Iraq and any other neighboring country? As Afghanistan quickly returns to a Taliban led free for all, (due to our taking our eye off of Afghanistan to attack Iraq) we have simply opened up another much larger country for the terrorists to congregate. And, oh by the way, people are DYING EVERY DAY for this lost cause. American kids, Iraqi citizens, all dying at a record pace. It’s getting much worse each day, not better.

Thwart the ambitions of reformers? Embolden them? Let me put that in Cyclone speak for you. The only reformers are George W. Boosh and the merry cast of madmen (and women) he has surrounded himself with. Everyone in the world, with the exception of the Tony Blair led Britain told us not to go into Iraq; that doing so would turn into the biggest disaster in the history of the Mid-East region, maybe the biggest disaster in the history of the world. But Boosh wouldn’t listen. Boosh listens to no one, except allegedly to God. Despite what Boosh says, I highly doubt that God himself told Boosh to depose Saddam Hussein, at least without also giving him a heads up that he should perhaps prepare for the aftermath of such a move. The American people thought it was a bad idea; as did the British citizenry. But, we all know, or should by now, that Boosh doesn’t care what the American people think. And Blair is attached at the hip to Boosh, and is soon to pay a heavy price for that. About embolden, don’t worry about that, George. You emboldened them the moment you decided to follow the advice of the neocons and invade a sovereign nation, beginning WWIII in the process.

“There must be an effective international force in Lebanon to ensure Hezbollah doesn’t re-arm and ‘wreak havoc in the region'".

Okay, we’re switching locations. George W. Boosh, the greatest “havoc wreaker” in the history of the world, does not want anyone else wreaking any havoc along side him. How, short of an all out worldwide nuclear shelling, could there possibly be any more havoc in “the region?” Do you need to be reminded, George, that Lebanon is one of the Democratic countries that you desparately hope to spread around the world? Do you need to be reminded that Hezbollah has a couple of seats in the power structure of Lebanon? I know that does not make you happy, but that is a fact. You want “democracies around the world,” but want to be able to control who is elected when the votes are tallied. I guess you want all countries to have the same kind of elections that we have here, where when you lose you can have an Anton Scalia appoint you leader. Only now you want to be Anton Scalia yourself, picking and choosing who gets to run each country that you choose to democratize. After all, you are the self acclaimed “Decider.” To your credit, you at least realize that your term will eventually end, and that you must act in a hurry. Who is next? Is it Iran or Syria? Maybe both at once? If not, how about a dart board to decide? I’m certain that, given the “success” in Iraq, countries around the world are waiting in great anticipation to be first on your list of reclamation projects. They are lining up to have their homelands blown to smithereens, occupied, and invaded by countless terrorists.

“Besides helping organize an international force, we will aid in efforts in Lebanon including getting food and energy aid to residents and aiding in rebuilding homes and schools damaged or destroyed in the 34 days of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah guerillas.”

Oh, and we'll of course kick in a few bucks to rebuild damage to Israel. Better hurry, Georgie. Hezbollah is already on top of that one. See Katrina and the effective job we did in getting water to those folks stranded on rooftops during that crisis? Checked to see how the re-building effort has gone in Mississippi and Louisiana, specifically New Orleans? Looked in Iraq for a look see at how the “energy,” (meaning oil and electricity) project is going? I'm sure Hezbollah is sweating it out, hoping you don't beat them to the punch in the "aid" department. Enough said, a six year old can figure out that this is just another in a long line of false promises given by you and your administration.

And finally, “Iran is obviously part of the problem. They sponsor Hezbollah. They encourage a radical brand of Islam. Imagine how difficult this issue would be if Iran had a ‘nucuuular’ weapon……So therefore, it’s up to the international community, including the United States, to work in concert for effective diplomacy. And that begins at the United Nations Security Council.”

Come on, George. Diplomacy? Not your cup of tea; never has been. Diplomacy to you is as follows, and your track record proves it. You make an offer, tell the American people and the world that it is generous and the only reasonable solution, and then whoever you are dealing with can either take it or leave it. In other words, My way or the Highway, followed by a vacation in Crawford or Kennebunkport to bike around the property. That’s not diplomacy, that’s fascism. I hate to be the one to break this to you, but Iran is going to pick the Highway. Why? Because the rest of the world is tired of you trying to tell them how to live. You are now even trying to pick their religion for them. “They encourage a radical brand of Islam.” So they should tone it down, in your view. Well, in the view of Iran and the rest of the Muslim world, you encourage a “radical brand of democracy,” and you should tone it down a bit yourself. They want no part of it, or of you or your brand of democracy. They want to be left alone. Plus, in case you haven’t counted lately, there are a heck of a lot more of them than there are of us. Or you and yours, I should say, because I certainly don’t want to be associated with you or your God driven visions. Nor do most Americans, but I know you don’t care what any of us think. After all, you are only trying to “protect” us.

Summary

It’s amazing that all of this can come from one little press conference. Seems like quite a few problems you’ve created. Myself, I don’t really think we can take too much more of your “protecting the American people.” You have single handedly thrust us into the position of being the most hated country in the history of the world, and I’m considering Nazi Germany when I say that. We have no idea who is in this country, or who is coming in or going out. We also have no idea what they are bringing with them as they hop the fence into southern Texas or Arizona. So what do you do? You make them as angry as you possibly can, BEFORE they enter our homeland. How long do we have before that café in Boston is targeted? I guess nobody knows, but you are certainly speeding the process up considerably. In comparison, a total collapse of the American economy looks pretty good to me. It might be all that can save us.

If we make it to November, it is up to the American people. Can they possibly still be blind enough to buy your “fear factor” leadership just one more time? After all, this is the last chance to depose you and your ilk. After 6 years of the same monotonous routine; Boosh gets in trouble? We foil an imaginary terrorist plot. Things go bad in Iraq? Blame it on the media and say it’s not as bad as it seems, they don’t report the “good stuff.” Gas prices go through the roof? Blame it on the weather, surely it's not the oil companies policies of gouging. People don’t have any money or are in debt to their scalp? Tell them the economy is robust. And on, and on and on with the same, tired, phony game. But no matter the carnage, "stay the course" is the word from the White House, as it has been since this abortion of foreign and domestic policy began in the year 2000.

I look at this as an IQ test or Civics lesson for the American people. If we haven’t learned to read through the Boosh nonsense, and once again allow the Boosh/Cheney mindset to dominate and continue to rule in America, we are doomed. End of story.

From Belgium,

Another white leader speaking with a forked tongue.

I am pleased that you separated the American people from Boosh and the British people from Blair. The only thing I can now say, much to our chagrin, is that the Brits actually voted this cretin into office but they have now seen the error of their ways (see my 8.04 comment near the end of the Ramping Up the Fear two posts ago). Let us hope that it does not take too long for the scales to fall from the eyes of the American people.

I applaud you.... you have once again delivered a wonderful summary of the beast.

I tuly hope that there is some way in which this devastation can be stopped, but as I have said in previous posts I believe that the only way is a total and complete collapse of the economy. I have taken my share of verbal beatings for saying this, most at the hands ( or lips...lol) of those who have fantasy amounts of equity to lose. They do not get it. Soon it will matter not how much money you have, if this present administration keeps pushing its agenda the money will not matter. Your 5000 sq foot house will not matter, your BMW or Lexus (notice I did not day Caddilac...not the car of choice for the elite anymore..lol) will not matter.

Keeping pushing the Arab world they WILL strike back. What this administration is not coming to terms yet is Iran has the power should they wish to implement. Let us say they decide tomorrow to shut off the oil spigot to the customers in their part of the globe. Imagine the desparation these countries will face in trying to keep their economies going. They will bargain with Iran for a return of the oil and Iran should they choose could decide at that point to sell only in lets say Euros....hmmmm and perhaps at a higher price.

How will this effect the US economy? Kind of a rhetorical question, as we pretty much know that THE FED is printing money as fast as the machines will allow, sad part is there is very little to back that printing up in the form of collateral.

The US is the the most hated country inthe world. I live in a part of the worl that should be immensly greatful for the US of A however that is not the situation. I live at present in Colombia and were it not for the influx of greenbacks I am not sure what situation this country would be in, I suspect some sort of anarchy. Still with all the ..ahem monetary help from the US, the general population despises the US and getting to the point of despising beyond the administration. The only real support for the US here is those who have money. Does this sound familiar?

Bushco needs a strike at Iran...needs it desparately as he and his criminal cohorts are losing grip of the control, this before they have their mission complete, and that is about having a finger in all things that can benefit this group.

There are significant problems with this as there is no way to protect the US from terror, none nada, nunca. Too much open border, too much unprotected infrastructure, too much reliance on imported resources. The US should have taken the event of 9/11 and had a close look innward. What was the world albeit in this case Alkady...ahem sending as the real message. Maybe it wa that the US should mind its own affairs???? Too late now, but if the terrorists wanted to get really nasty all they would have to do is shut down the economy on the other side of the world and well the dominoes will start to trip...

The carnage in the streets of America when people are in search of the necessities will provide for some interesting entertainment...

I will leave it at that

Cy great post and it is good to see you posting again..

Cyclone,
I'm so happy that you put up a post! I'm still wondering what the hell happened to the Fitzpatrick investigation of Scooter Liby, Cheney, et al? It just seems to have melted away just when it was looking like Cheney and Bush might actually have been held accountable. Fitztpatrick seems to have disappeared. Any ideas?
Looking ahead, it appears that for some lame reason, Hillary will get the Democratic nomination for the presidency. As much as I'd like the chance to vote for female president, the thought of "them" in the Whitehouse again give me hives. They seem to be as democratic as Lieberman, the putz.
At this rate, I think I agree with Steve Pizzo. His latest post on Newsforreal projects that the Republicans will win again with a McCaine/Guliani ticket. The media will probably bill the Clintons as "far left." Excuse me while I throw up.

Hello Murph

Yes Colombia is a country of many beautiful things, along with that is an underlying darkness as well, part of the reason the US sends billions to this country to fight against drugs. Personally to the way I am viewing it that money is getting into the wrong pockets but in this country that is what is called normal...enough on that.

The Arab countries are fractionated, however if the Bush regime continue to wander in and bomb the hell out of the Arab brother countries even those who on the surface are on the sidelines regarding the activities of such (Lebanon) US agression will get pissed enough to get together if only long enough to hand the infidels a serious beating.

The way I see things all those countries would have to do is to stop transport of oil for even a week. This would cause undetermined chaos and then they demand payment in the currency of their choice and a price they deem they need....

When the world stops trading oil in greenbacks the US will crumble under its own financial strain. Russia is also looking to trade in other currency and as I have read have become the nummber one oil producer in the world. Also of note is that they are trying to organize other world producers of oil into a new collaboration and from what I have read the US producers need not apply to the club....hehehehe

Things are getting more interesting by the day... can we say another 9/11 anyone????

From Belgium;

If all that Putin is doing is selling oil to solve Russia’s economic problems then why did Gorbachov not do the same thing? Perhaps it was different times. By the way, what happened to the Iranian burse?

Any country in the world has the ability to bring the USA to its knees by simply dumping its entire stock of dollars in one hit. Japan and Norway are dripping them away as fast as they can without creating a situation where everybody looses everything. At least they are hedging against constant dollar devaluation.

On the subject of another 9-11, I don’t think that roving Karl is the kind to sit idly by whilst it all falls in the water; expect something. Don’t forget that he is the one who embarrassed Nixon by publishing an article which advocated the GOP gaining ground through a ‘dirty tricks’ campaign just at a time that happened to coincide with Watergate.

Also, you've said many times before that other countries, China in particular, can kill us financially. reading the comments of others it seems they agree. Are we close to that happening?

Thank you for what you have done here, building an environment where we can learn and hear the truth.

Are you going to continue?

Belgium,

I do not blame the British people as much as I do the American people. Though the election here was stolen, it was clear from Day 1 that Boosh was a less than intelligent fraud, and a little research would have shown just how bad a businessman he was and what a creature without morals that he is. One needs to look no further than his statements re: the death penalty to see his overwhelming arrogance. The election should not have been close enough to steal.

I don't know Britain as well, but I'm giving the citizens the benefit of the doubt that once Boosh was exposed for who he is, they would expect Blair to distance himself from Boosh as every other leader in the world has. His own party is abandoning him in droves as we speak. Will it be enough for the American people at large? I hope so, but I remain guarded.

Send me an email at: Cyclone@cyclonesrealdeal.com with an address and I'll send you a Real Deal T-Shirt. Wear it, get some Colombians to check out the blog and maybe they will learn that not all Americans approve of the behavior of their government. When they see all of the links that people place on here and follow them, they will then find that a large number of Americans abhor what is going on. Maybe it will change their view of the individual American citizen just a little. At least it can't hurt!

Putin and oil requires a longer commentary than I am prepared to give at the moment. As for the Iranian oil bourse, it will happen only not in the form that we are thinking about. And, it will not just be Iran, it is larger and more complicated than that. As I've said many times, others are biding their time, waiting for the proper moment to act. When they do, lights out it will be. I honestly thought it would be done by now, but it will happen.

The real question is, how much damage will Boosh be allowed to inflict before the great revealing of the new social structure? Suffice it to say, these are VERY important elections if Boosh, or by proxy Israel, doesn't enter Iran before then. Now that we've seen that Israel used unauthorized bunker busters provided by us, my statement a couple of weeks ago that this was a test run for Iran has been proven true. Something big is going to happen between now and November, I just hope that it is not an event such as the one that Ely describes.

From belgium,

The Common Dreams article above has been taken up by the Asia Times Online with some interesting additional bits.

http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/HH29Ak02.html

The New York Times; remember they are the ones who sat on the news that America was spying on its own citizens, for twelve months; looks as if it doesn’t want to be caught holding the same end of the stick again. It wrote as follows:

“The last thing this country needs as it heads into this election season is another attempt to push the intelligence agencies to hype their conclusions about the threat from a Middle Eastern state. That's what happened in 2002, when the administration engineered a deeply flawed document on Iraq that reshaped intelligence to fit President [George W] Bush's policy. And history appeared to be repeating itself ... when the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Peter Hoekstra of Michigan, released a garishly illustrated and luridly written document that is ostensibly dedicated to "helping the American people understand" that Iran's fundamentalist regime and its nuclear ambitions pose a strategic threat to the United States”.

And:

“Gary Sick, a former National Security Council staff member in the Jimmy Carter administration and director of the Gulf/2000 project at Columbia University, circulated a memo last week noting problems with the accuracy of the committee report. He wrote:

If you are going to take on the entire US intelligence community, it is a very good idea to at least get your basic facts straight. On a very quick reading, I found a statement on page 9 claiming that the 164 centrifuges at the Iranian Natanz site are "currently enriching uranium to weapons grade". There is no evidence whatsoever that this is true - and a lot of evidence that the tiny bit of enriched uranium produced at this site was reactor-grade (c 2.5% vs weapons grade c 95%). It may be true that Fleitz, and perhaps many in the neo-con community, suspect that weapons-grade enrichment is either covertly under way or is planned, but their suspicions should not be allowed to substitute for facts.

Throughout the report, there is careful documentation of any and all criticism that the IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency] inspectors have produced or any questions that they may have raised about Iran's performance. However, there is no mention at all of any of the IAEA conclusions that they find no evidence of weapons production or activity. Some people will recall that the IAEA inspectors, in their caution, were closer to the truth about Iraqi WMD [weapons of mass destruction] than, say, the Vice President's Office.

The summary of the study claims that Iran has "the largest inventory of ballistic missiles in the Middle East" and it focuses attention on the 1,300-kilometer [range] Iranian Shahab-3 missile and its possible future development for carrying a nuclear warhead, including a handy map of exaggerated ranges for the Shahab-3 and (as yet non-existent) Shahab-4 demonstrating that everything from Monaco to Moscow to Mumbai is vulnerable to Iranian strikes.

A very quick check of the study's own sources revealed that Iran has "some" Shahab-3 missiles, but probably not more than a handful. By contrast, Israel has 50 ballistic missiles with range greater than the Shahab and configured for nuclear warheads that are stored "nearby". Saudi Arabia, we need to recall, has 40-60 long-range missiles, each with a range of 2,650km and all capable of carrying a 2,500-kilogram warhead, clearly the largest inventory of its kind in the Middle East”.

All the time the World keeps on turning or should it be spinning.

RP,

Any way to get a CD in a bottle? We can drop the archives in the middle of the Atlantic, to be someday found by whoever next inhabits this planet. The question is, will they believe it?

Montana freeman,

That is a compliment that I do not take lightly. This is indeed a special group of people, I was merely the impetus who brought it together. How, I have no idea. The spirit gave this place wings, I guess. Without everyone, I and this would be just another mass of babble that no one would care about nor pay any attention to. Thank you, my friend.

Belgium,

I think a CD is the proper way to archive all that is written here. I will work on that once baseball season is over. Assuming, of course, that the "internets" is still operational. Great idea!!!!
