Zarqawi's Demise; Different Angle, Same Conclusion

Reality beat me to the punch on this one, but I thought it would be fun to put a slightly different twist on the same story. In the end, the conclusion is the same. The death of Al-Zarqawi is not that big of a deal, regardless of what you might hear from the Boosh administration. Here we go,

A Major Victory in the War on Terror

The US claims a “major victory in the War on Terror” with the killing of Al-Zarqawi. Using a rare bit of common sense, this administration does warn that the war is not over, and that insurgent attacks will likely continue. They do, however, say that this is a “major blow” to the insurgency. Hate to burst your bubble, Boosh, but…….

Zarqawi was not a friend of Osama bin-Laden, in fact, he was a bit of an embarrassment. Bin-Laden did not approve of Zarqawi’s methods, his way of beheading hostages on national television, or his statements that were suddenly becoming much too frequent. Bin-Laden thought of him as an out of control wildcat who did more to fracture the cohesiveness of Al-Qaeda than to help it. He led a splinter group of radical insurgents, which is why you heard him called the leader of “al-Qaeda in Iraq.” In short, bin-Laden is not sorry to see him gone. That will not prevent him, however, from being used, in his death, as a martyr or rallying cry to recruit more insurgents. One can thank the mishandling of the event by the American leadership for that. He could easily have been taken alive, but they chose to "light up the skies" with 500 lb. bombs instead, all for public consumption. They also managed to take a few innocents with him in the process. The intensified bombings since his death have proven his martyrdom to be the case.

The Military’s Effectiveness in Hunting Him Down

While Boosh and the military want to champion this as the fruits of hard labor and effective "on the ground intelligence," nothing could be further from the truth. We have allegedly been “hunting” this man for many years, yet he was not located due to any great intelligence gathering on the part of US military operations. (Boosh would use the term US/Coalition forces, but I refuse to do so because, as we know, there is no coalition) Zarqawi was given up by his own people, pure and simple. The military received a tip telling them the location of his spiritual advisor, Sheik Abdul-Rahman, and that this man was soon to meet with Zarqawi. It then simply became a mission of following the spiritual advisor until the meeting occurred. Great intelligence work? Hardly. More simply a matter of accepting the gift that was bestowed upon our military intelligence.

The fact is that Zarqawi had become an al-Qaeda liability, and it was time for him to go. He was stomping on the toes of bin-Laden, and doing it in a way which was causing bin-Laden to seem less important. Stealing the headlines, if you will. And, stealing them in a much too public fashion. Zarqawi was becoming a media darling, releasing tapes on a much too frequent basis. This is not the style of a stealth operation, as you have seen from the actions of bin-Laden over his career as the worlds’ greatest terrorist. There are often years between bin-Laden's public relations releases, and this is done with a purpose in mind. Allowing Zarqawi to continue unfettered may well have hurt the cause of al-Qaeda more than did his termination. So, they gave him up, knowing full well that the Boosh administration would champion this as a “great victory.” Now, al-Qaeda can re-group around the “next” Zarqawi, one who will be kept much more under the thumb of bin-Laden and his representatives.

The Reward: The American Way

The $25 Million that was placed on the table for the head of Zarqawi will never be paid, though it should. It’s just the American way. We toss a carrot on a stick out for the chase, and then pull it back once it’s time to pay up. I heard a General make a statement yesterday saying that “no one told us exactly where he would be at a precise time, so we don’t feel that the information was that helpful.” Give me a break. We’ve been allegedly hunting this guy for years, someone tells us to follow his spiritual advisor because there will soon be a meeting, two days later Zarqawi is dead, and this information was not helpful? Okay, whatever. Now, one could argue that since the information came from inside the Zarqawi network, that should the money be paid it would simply be funneled back into the fund of the terrorists. That could be true, but it does not justify claiming that the information was not worthwhile, nor that it does not justify a payment. Besides, who did they expect to know where Zarqawi would be if not someone connected with his network? An owner of a produce market in downtown Baghdad? I hardly think so. I would now not hold my breath waiting for someone to give up Bin-Laden simply for the reward money. We have proven that we will not pay it, making it meaningless.

This is very similar to an event that forever soured me on “the American way” of doing business, way back in the early 80’s. We cut a deal with Iran to release our hostages, and once the hostages were released we backed out of our end of the bargain. I have ranted about that before, and will not do so again. But, I believe that this was the beginning of the end of the idea that America’s “word is our bond.”

Hearts and Minds

In summary, Boosh claims that a major factor in winning his phony “war on terror” is to win the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people. While most of us know that this can never be done, you damn sure can’t do it if you refuse to pay the reward that you offered for the head of the man who you claim to be one of the top two terrorists in the world. Regardless of the affiliation, regardless of where the money may end up. We are spending billions of dollars per week fighting this insane war, so what’s $25 million? Besides, we could actually use it to our advantage. Give the money to someone, hope he/she is a terrorist, and track where the money goes. Could it possibly lead to other al-Qaeda leaders? Could we perhaps actually then use our black ops people to do something that might help track the real enemy? Investigation 101 anybody?

We just don’t get it, which is why we will fail to win the hearts and minds of the Iraqi’s or anyone else in the Middle East or around the world. We can’t even win the hearts and minds of the majority of our own people. Like the Grandparent who gives the child $200 for Christmas and then wants to tell him how to spend it, we just simply can’t help ourselves. It’s the “new American way.” We simply screw whoever we can out of whatever we can whenever we can. We do this more in an effort to reinforce the illusion to ourselves that we are smarter than anyone else than for any other reason. We are the world's greatest con-men. Our moral authority is gone, in fact, our morality as a nation in virtually every phase of our existence has left the building.

And that, my friends, is why we have lost the respect of everyone in the world. A respect that took 200 years to build, and a respect that will never come back. We would have to earn that, and we aren't into earning anything anymore. We simply take in "the new America."

Can you elaborate on this. How could the money be tracked, especially if it is laundered.

From Belgium,

In the middle 80’s the Americans and the Japanese were in a race to be first in the market with a new type of auto engine (petrol or diesel). Essentially it was a new (almost said revolutionary) type of piston. It weighed about 20% of a conventional one, was easier to machine, could be seriously over revd in use and was practically indestructible. I happened to be one of the few who knew how to make the material that started the whole thing off. I wanted to supply these parts into USA and Japan for local firms to construct the piston around. My banker told me that if I wanted to trade with the USA I had better have serious product liability insurance. No body would tell me how much I should take but one person stuck his finger in the air and said $5m so I asked for an estimate based on this and you should have seen how fast the insurance companies sat on their hands. It was like they knew something I didn’t. So I didn’t get the insurance and never supplied the product.
It seemed to be one of those things everybody knew about, that USA had gone litigation crazy. One story I heard at the time went about a guy that tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of a subway train as it came out of a tunnel into the station. Fortunately or unfortunately, his body went under the train and his legs were cut off. Sensing a deal and an end to his financial problems, he sued the train company and the driver for not stopping quickly enough. He got loads of engineering experts on his side and won the case.
In this instance it would have been better all round if the driver had made a proper job of it. I suspect it may be a similar philosophy with Al-Zarqawi in that the dead can’t fight back.

I'll take a shot at how to follow the money. Don't follow the money. Follow the person who took it.

Stop using predator drones and satellites to watch the peaceful assemblers here and there, stop wasting your time tapping the phones of anyone talking about terrorist ideologies like "global warming" and "corporate responsibility", stop sending the Intellegence agencies to the libraries to seize records of who checked out books on scary subjects like "separation of church and state" and "civil liberties", and follow the person who took the money.

We have the technology to follow criminals to where they hide and meet. We just seem to be interested in a different set of "criminals." This administration is quite obviously more interested in anyone supporting the rights of its people than anyone supporting the terrorists.

Great post Cyclone! Great to see you back at the helm! Reality, Murph, and Freeacre have had us in capabil hands while you were busy with the baseball season.!

Let me take a stab at this money tracing thing!

Pull out your wallet and take out a twenty dollar bill. Hold it up so the light shines through it, and you'll see a tiny strip of plastic! That strip of plastic has a barcode on it! You can scan that barcode with a special scanner and trace that one twenty dollar bill all across the world! It's so simple that a child could do it! Of course that means it's beyond Boosh's scope of understanding!

Cyclone,

Between you and Reality the subject got debunked rather thoroughly. Listened to a broadcast tonight with a reporter in Bagdad. He sure didn't seem to be very optimistic about it all and then Boosh does this surprise trip to Iraq and his talk to the council and the troops. Sounded like his usual blither and BS to me.

When the dish goes off, I won't have anything to talk about in the news I guess. Have to depend on you folks to fill us in. Taking for granted that Freeacre can stand it of course. I'm not optimistic. But, a neighbor did give me an antenna (remember those things?) that I will put up when it quites raining all day. Then at least we can get the local station and that will be about all.

I rather suspect that Boosh and crew don't really want to know where the money goes nor do they wish to actually get a bunch of the leaders. After all, without the war, what would Boosh be? Just another barbershop politician with a lot of family money. Without the war, attention might turn to all the other shit he has done and has proposed to do. Although as Stoney said some time back, how often are we going to get hit with 'give him a chance, let the policies take hold before you criticize'.

Ain't it a shame that one of our ringleaders up to his neck in illegal shit will not be indicted? Good ol' Mr. Rove. King of the dirty tricks and getting around the law. I had hoped. Probably means none of them are going to get what they deserve. Of course like Stoney, I think they deserve stoning in the street, or public hanging, but we will never see it. Not enough pissed off Christians yet for that to happen. I sure hate to wait for the afterlife for retribution. sigh.

Murph,

The trip to Baghdad was pure "show," with the usual dose of bad Boosh humor tossed in. Like you say, blather and BS.

You do have a good point about the war. Though I think that Boosh will take a slight upward turn in the polls due to Zarqawi's death and turn it back around in a hurry once he is entrenched back in the US. A buffoon cannot keep himself out of negative headlines.

I, too, am disappointed about the Rove thing. I really thought that Fitz might eventually get to Cheney, but I guess that's not going to happen. The worst part is now we have to listen to the arrogant Repubs "cry foul" over the way poor Karl has been portrayed. I'm with you, the whole lot of them should be hit by a BUS, a BIG BUS.

That will occur when the economy finally beats the drum for the last time, unfortunately everyone will be hit so hard that what happens to these fools will be mostly ignored. It will then be every man for himself. I am taking the liberty of borrowing on of the Murphinator's sighs. Sigh.

Anonymous 9:24,

I would think, that since we can effectively follow the sheik who led us to Zarqawi, we could also follow the person who we paid a large sum of money to. Then, see where it all leads.

Since we are essentially moral lepers, at the very least, we could pay the money to show our good will, then create an unfortunate accident for the person who recieved it and take it back. But, that would imply weakness on our part. Can't have that now, can we, not with the big bad sheriff in charge. We have given up on attempting to display any semblance of doing the right thing, it just no longer matters. The American people are so dumbed down that this administration no longer has to pretend that it cares about the average American. Rather pathetic, but probably more sad than anything.

Yeah, the money would be pretty easy to track, but not as easy as the person. Not too many folks are walking around Baghdad with $25 million US. Unless they work for Haliburton, that is.

Belgium,

I am not surprised that Zarqawi was not spared. My point was that we don't care who we take with him. We don't even pretend to care anymore. If you knew the guy or had ever met him, you become acceptable collateral damage. I wish I could do everything, like have actually attended the autopsy to see if a bullet hole was found in his head. It's a sad state of affairs when you are automatically suspicious of what your government says, but that has been the case for a long, long time here in America. For those who pay attention, anyway.

Murph and Cyclone,

I'm kinda wierded out by this whole Karl Rove thing! There's something more than meets the eye here!

Firt off, Rove should be jumping up and down yelling "See the dirty liberal press wronged me!", but the whole thing seems very, very, quiet. Rove seems to be far too reserved for someone who has just been exonerated in an election year! And that quick "No Comment", and the brisk scamper to safety? What tha fuck? Tony Snow seemed stangely subdued too! He should have been jumping for joy and smearing liberals left and right for ever dragging such a good and upright citizen as Karl the Cancer before a grand jury! Lufkin should have had stern words for Fitzgerald as well! Since when does a defence attorney miss a chance to spout off about the failures of the prosecutuion? Fitzgerald didn't have much to say either. Hmmmmm. Very VERY strange! Almost looks like they were all under some kind of restaint doesn't it? ODD!

Secondly, why did Boosh suddenly take a surprise trip to Iraq? What was so fucking important? Did he need to go to Bagdad, or did he need to be out of Washigton? Hmmmmmm?

Thirdly. Has any body heard from Cheney in the last 24 hours? His daughter's making alot of noise, but Cheney seem to be very quiet?

All this brings to me to a point of conjecture. ALL the players in this game are acting strange! They're all in these very tight huddles that WE aren't allowed in on! What exactly did Rove give Fitzgerald? He damn sure gave him something! He damn sure rolled over on somebody! You just don't get investigated by a state prosecuter that stongly and walk away smelling like a rose! Some deal was made! Anybody can see that! And the whole lot of them are being VERY tight-lipped about the whole thing? What DO they have to hide?! Did Rove buy his freedom with Cheney's ass? It sure seems that way! Boosh certainly fell over himself to be out of the country after the big anouncement was made! You'ld think he would be there to share this great victory with the 30%! How strange that he would go galloping off to Iraq to visit a startled Prime Minister who had no idea he was coming! What indeed would make President Pork Pie jump in his big white jet, and fly all the way to Iraq and stay only five hours?

I've got a sneaking suspicion this show ain't over!

1. Since Rove is not indicated, any speculation on what the Sealed US vs Sealed US document is?

2. Back to discussion of money. I had emailed Cyclone with an idea for a post, but I'm not an eloquent writer like some of you. And I don’t have time to do major research. I appreciate those of you that do in your posts. I was wondering if we could have a candidate or several current senators or congressman, have a press conference and just say, No to lobbyist and in all their dealings. Well after I sent the email, I realized how truly impossible this was. Everything and every group is a lobby group. I’m sure there are some that are really just spreading the facts, maybe MADD, maybe Cindy Sheehan’s women against the war. I’m sure there are many valid ones. We are just ingrained in relying on these groups to do the research and spread the ideas.

Of course, the point of suggesting this was to cut the crap on the ethics and scandals and even a need for lobby reform. Just say, No.

Today I came across this article, which is on the same topic and the corruption.
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article13643.htm

And his take is that the scandals coming out are to keep us from realizing the real scandal. Our government is no longer, “our” government.

My Belgian friend,

I think if you go way back in the archives to my ??part series that included the world's greatest military complex, you'll find that I said that education only through the military was the plan all along. Next, the draft.

Stoney,

Something's not right with the whole Rove thing. I can't put my finger on it, everyone has shut up, but until I hear the words from Fitzgerald's mouth that it's over, I don't believe it. Rove may have rolled, and Cheney could yet resign. If he goes, it is likely over.

Thom Hartmann, a political commentator of liberal persuasion just came up with an interesting suggestion. He maintains that we are not at war with Iraq, the war ended with victory when Boosh stood on the carrier and declared victory, that was when the war ended. What we have now is an occupation that is almost as long as the occupations of WWII. Historically, when occupations continue for a long time it leads to civil war and intensefied resistance to the occupation. He declares that if the Dems want some traction, they better start calling it an occupation and insisting that it is no longer a war because the Repugs are going to insist that the liberals want to lose the war with their retoric. And convincing the population that losing the war is a good thing is not going to make it.

I found that to be an interesting idea.

Spirit across the sea,
thank you, you give earnest council along with the rest of the kindly folks here, not that we can't get that irritated nerve going if its necessary. was considering your wise words and am in agreement with them,i lived with and in the vicinity of some viet nam vets in humbolt county califorina,at the time the mountains were flooded with hippies fleeing the citys and staking out various size plots of land to try out there new found freedom of mind and social interaction, wow !!!!away from the dictates of a sick ass society. it was a real pleasure to be a part of that generation,we knew we had something even though it was LSD enduced for a lot of us,it was real but the habitital demands of a rabid trained brain would barge its useless assness way back into sweet spirit pureness of original creation and form the familiar cancers called fear and therefore obedience to the system of death laws and death lawers, the vultures that prey on the wounded brothers that lay by the wayside. some of the viet warriors could not adjust to the usual bullshit and felt a degree of comfort living amoungst us,the hippy dope smokein, dope growin,,mushroom ingestin,LSD droppin, peote sacred dancing with spirit food and generally making fools of ourselfs and each other in a way that was readily known to one another that we really were brothers and sisters under the skin.
all was far from perfect however, some of the dudes that survived the death and destruction of a nation gone insane, called war, could not make it in such a peaceful place filled with a goodly measure of unbrideled love and respect for one another as hard as they tried.
and served a different function in the loosely named FAMILY , they became guardians of the love children after the lost ones still in the cities became aware that there were long hairs in the hills growing that good smokin stuff and decided to raid the hippies and take there hard earned herb[growing good smoke is not without some physical demands] well that was a bad idea because they were comeing into a land protected by brothers that were trained to kill and i can't say to much about that, but needless to say the pot gardens became a place to stay the hell away from unless one was invited!!
the thousand mile stare stoney talks about was an all to familiar look to many of these brothers and god help you if you fucked with the hippies whom became to these lost souls the only resemblance of a family they could find, had keep the fuck away talents that would absolutely scare the hell out of you. shit!! stoney knows exactly what i'm talking about.
so yes spirit across the sea , you got me to thinking as usual and man that hurts,i see that wasteing energy to try to give a brother or sister so deeply emmersed in the rock hard conditioning of childhood is a useless endeaver.
so i will go it alone along with the brothers and sisters that somehow along the way have mantaged to escape the death noose of which we have been beatened into wearing around our necks like a pearl necklace or something.
so i have taken your valuble council spirit across the sea and hunger for thought and the reality that there are enought of us left over to go on with what has already begun in establishing a new playground of peace and an awareness of the beautiful light given forth by the spirit.

cricket and wise owl are in agreement and give blessings to each of us.

From Belgium,

Aho Montana Freeman,

My, you have filled in a lot of blanks I didn’t know. I remember seeing a TV programme in the early 70’s about the Vietnam Vets and I also knew about the hippies but never made the connection between the two. The programme went about returning soldiers who found that American heroes existed in other lands but America had no use for them any more. It went about the callous way those suffering the effects of Agent Orange were treated. Much the same way that returning soldiers from Iraq with burning sperm syndrome caused by exposure to airborne uranium are treated now. It went about their disgust for what they had fought for and how many of them had gathered on one day and thrown their medals at the White House. It went on to talk about the life the vets had now and how many of them lived in the forests of the Cascades east of Seattle. One guy had built a log cabin and had so much weaponry in it there has hardly room for a stove and a bed. Another one they interviewed said the morning after returning home his mother woke him up with a cup of coffee in bed and he came to his senses just a fraction of a second before he was about to snap her neck. Two hours later he was headed for the only place he could live. It was a real indictment on the American way.

After all these years I have surprised myself that I remember so much from it although I am sure there are bits I have forgotten. Many of you will have first hand experience of these times and the way something still stinks in the land of milk and honey.

Aho.

Murph,

The repug(nant)s have already started with the bull. I can't remember which, but one repug answered Murthas newest call for withdrawl with the comment "surrender is not an option."

If the dem(eaned)s were smart, they would let them play that game for a few, and sandbag them. Once the repugs fill the airwaves with "no surrender" every time a dem talks withdrwal, they can finally tip the scales on politicizing the war on terror by asking one question...

"How can we be surrendering when Bushy told us 'mission accomplished' so long ago, unless you saying that you where wrong and we have been sliding backward with the repugs security plan plan for success in the 'long war'?"

Leads to the next good question, "If that is true, then what else have you been wrong about, everything?"

I talked with a man who works with Vietnam Vets still living in Deschutes County here in Oregon still living pretty isolated in the National Forest. He thinks there are about 240 of them, I think he said. I am glad that they are here - I feel safer with them, more frightened of the fundamentalists, of which there are many more.
The Science of Mind Philosopy, of which I am a trained Practitioner, teaches that we are All One, and it was that concept that I had a lot of resistance to for the first couple of years, but now I find to be the most powerful and useful concept.
At first, it was just accepting that other people and I were part of the One,and then I grew to feel one with the Earth and the animals, and that all have voices that can speak to us with valuable counsel. What a supreme wonder it all is...
I am grateful to you, Montana Freeman, for reminding us to value each other and the love that is there for those who are willing to share it. I am hoping that we can share some quiet time together where we can just listen to each other's hearts, and the wind, and the songs of the cricket and the owl.
I shot an animal for the first time the other day....Cowbirds were taking over the bird feeder and driving the other birds away. They are sort of parasites and lay eggs in the other birds' nests and throw out the other baby birds after they hatch, etc. So, I aimed a pellet gun at one, and, surprisingly, dropped it like a rock. Now, I am confused and don't know if I should feel okay about it or not. What do you think? After it was dead, I told it I hoped now maybe it could turn into some other kind of bird.

Reality,

That is the problem. There is no real, organized and thoughtful resistance to the Repugs policies. It seems obvious to me that there is none. Which leads me to the question just whose bed is being shared by whom? If the Dems and Repugs are sharing the same bed, then where is the resistance to come from? Even Steve Pizzo has given up on the Dems for a good opposition. He was adamently for them not so long ago.

Back to my old saw, the general population has to have a change in values to effect a change in policies. The longer that takes to happen, the worse it's gonna get.

Freeacre,

Take the body of the bird and make whatever use of it that you can. To kill is not a sin. To kill and waste is!

I would suggest plucking the feathers, and saving them for when a burst of creativity comes your way. You might try making a meal of the bird's body, even though I have never eaten cowbird.

Cow birds do have a job in the higher scheme of things though. They eat the ticks, and other parasites from deer and squirrells. We have plenty of the agravating noisy ass things over here! We also have a very small Lyme desease problem as well. As for the bird feeders, I would hang several up, as far as I could from eachother. They can't patrol all of them, and the other birds will go to the ones left unguarded.

Lots of people hate squirells in their bird feeders, but I love them in mine! They're a lot more fun to watch and the one living here have developed a report with the cats.

From Belgium,

Murph & Reality,

Money is a great leveller of principles. There is no difference between the parties when everyone is pissing into the same pot. Like I said before, a job in politics has to be tendered for these days. Wouldn’t it be great if the American nation could be persuaded not to vote in November?

Montana Freeman,

Just Google Earthed Arlee Montana and found Pow Wow Road that leads directly onto the river, wow. Just wish I could be there with you.

Freeacre,

The circle of life includes many things which some people think are not pretty. I have been a hunter for years. I personally find it a bit pained each time not because what I did was wrong, but because I have a great respect and love or those animals. I continue to hunt because I am a hunter.

Death, as birth, Contributes to the natural cycle of things. The loss of that bird in nature will ensure the birth of many more. What you did was not wrong, but it still hurts. That shows that you have respect for life. Consider it a blessing. I myself have promised for a long time that the first time I kill something and do not feel it will be the last time I hunt.

Murph,

Ditto

Belgium,

The problem with your theory is that as long as even a few people vote, they will call it a success and continue, most likely without intervention from the people.

Most extremist single issue voters will continue to vote as long as they have the chance. One particular group, who I will not name but follow the bidding of an insane paranoid freak with the initials Pat Robertson, is particularly stubborn. I do not, under any circumstances, want them to be able to say they are the majority. You can not imagine the trouble that would cause...

freeacre,
stoney is here for the same reason as all of us it seems, to listen to each other and comment on what is said if it seems ok to do so,not as proper but from the heart and mind in consideration for one another, holy shit where is there another place like this place?its easy to say your piece if you know you are not going to be kicked in the teeth for doing so, right? so
removing a little spirit from its body is a sacred act and the elders teach us that the reason for doing so is a personal thing to be worked out between the particpants,it is not a sin to kill, thats right but killing in itself is no thing to take lightly and cannot be so in the spirit world because like you said ,you listen to the voices of your little relatives and they speak to you if the listening is sweet enought,it would be like stepping on cricket on purpose, and then trying to explain to langosta and her brothers and sisters why such an act was necessary.you see where that goes? next you have the whole flock and all their cousins listening in on the conversation and they are discussing between themselfs what happened to cricket? and finally deciding that what brought the whole thing about should be thoroughly investigated so allowances could be made so nothing like that could happen again.no laws no rules nothing like that is spoke of as a solution, only the fact of the matter and thats all, you see? at that poiny that which was a mystery is no longer a mystery and the light shines brighly for all concerned because all have seen and all are in accord, the lesson has been learned and the spirit which is all life and all things has moved and covered the earth with love for each other, the bond is brighter now freeacre, for you for the realatives and for all of us that witness the council,
thank you stoney, the ancient ways are getting stronger and stronger,we work well together as indeed all the good folks in this sacred place connect with one another for each other,

i must tell this story, for it is much the same, when i was much younger more full of it then i am now,if such a thing is possible it happened that i came to live in a place in spokane along the river by the name of peacefull valley, well it happened that i built a very tight [i thought] chicken pen for the new chicks that arrived through the mail,i mean close mesh buried in the ground around the edges and covering the top completely, there were a lot of cats around so the reason for the extra security.
it came to pass in a few days that one big old cat found its way digging down deep and got into the pen and ate all my little chicks! fucking feathers everywhere, man i was pissed ,i spotted the cat and it ran into the garage, went for my 22 and opened the garage door and it was on a shelf in the back end of the building ,i got it in the sights and the thing started going nuts because it knew what was going to happen, but i was really pissed and shot the thing right between the eyes , skinned it and nailed the hide to the garage door.
i was young and felt no remorse about the act, justified to the bone,
about a year or so later i was in mexico with some friends and someone brought around some really strong acid and of course i had to have a dose ,
let me tell you something.that was something that i never wish to experience again and will not, thats when i found out that we are really one, one one i became that cat and had to look down the barrel of that gun knowing what was coming, i mean i knew what was coming. don't know if any here have had anything like that happen to them but that door never closed again, and never will,
later in life i have killed but never in revenge, lived on communes in northern california and taken many deer for the people on the communes to eat,i was the tribal hunter of thoes places mainly because that connection with spirit remained unbroken after the cat incident and communication between the deer or pigs or whatever was always there. i have had deer walk right up to me to release their spirit to the tribe so that they could thrive, the deer and the tribe, make sense? wish i could make this more clear but i can't.
peace sister you are love

SPIRIT ACROSS THE SEA.
do you have a place where i could send you something from montana? don't worry it would be legal, a gift from this place to enjoy as part of the council and the ways of the native americans and blood brothers that commune together.

Will you please let Montana Freeman have my land address.

I do not want to put it up on the blog but any regulars in the community that want it or my e-mail can have it through Murph.
If Fort Husquiana (?) does not have it already, which I doubt then they can blow up.

MF, Freeacre sent me something through the mail a while ago and had to declare the contents at the Post Office, so be ready for that one.
